FUNCTION AND SERVICE LINE INTRODUCTION

In this role you will work as part of the Global Supply Chain Finance Services (SCFS) team at Unilever.

At SCFS we aim to “create value through continuous global impact on the financial results of Unilever” and we live a strong purpose “inspired to make an impact”.

Our operational scope includes costing, accounting, reporting and controlling activities within the domain of Supply Chain Finance.
We work in a dynamic environment with significant change in ways of working resulting from continuous improvement projects, automated/robotized solutions, data driven insights.

With our ambitious continuous improvement and new scope agenda, we are focusing on different aspects. Redesigning the global process models, process optimizations by utilizing third party service provider and technology solutions, lead and own the design of global/regional projects. Ensure compliance in financial controls and develop solutions to drive analytics and insights.

SCFS activities are delivered from locations across 3 continents – Europe (Poland), Americas (Mexico) and Asia (India).

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The SCF(S) Operations Manager is the key leadership role in strategic development of integrated Supply Chan Finance services. You are responsible for leading costing, analytics and reporting and their optimization. The role reports directly to Global Operations lead with strong functional link to leaders in the operating centers and works closely with counterparts located in the Regions.
You will drive process compliance with Global Process Model, deliver efficiencies and complexity reduction projects, continuously improve operational processes and support technology solutions. The role ensures internal and external benchmarking to identify and implement best-in-class processes and IT solutions. You will play a key role in global harmonization and alignment of SCFS processes as well as processes compliance with Global Financial Controls Framework. This role gives a unique opportunity to develop subject matter expertise in the end-to-end Supply Chain Finance processes as well as in relevant IT technologies and systems (e.g. SAP).
This role requires an energetic and proactive individual with continuous improvement of mindset, and a good understanding of Supply Chain Finance processes combined with strong SAP expertise. You will need excellent team management skills, great stakeholder and relationship management skills, with a proven track record of success in leading complex transition programs.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE
Main responsibility of this role is:
• Lead the costing, analytics & reporting Unilever Team and Manage 3rd Party resources.
• Responsible for transitions of Supply Chain Finance Activities with coordination and delivery aligned with all stakeholders
• Deliver Internal UniOps and Stakeholder Change management, Trainings and Communication
• Support with detailed E2E impact assessments on design changes considering impact on teams (direct/indirect) in Unilever and perform feasibility assessments
• Perform deep dive analysis of Material costing and lead NPD and Innovation Costing. Produce improvement initiatives to drive operational efficiencies and streamline / strengthen processes from a set-up and controls point of view.
• Cooperate with Peers in Global Design to cover cross-workstream processes E2E
• Play a key role in redesigning processes (specific areas will be assigned to you) by creating a Global Process model future fit and best in class by applying: Process improvement, simplification, automation, outsourcing and centralization (Tier 3 model)
• Work Closely with the PEC & OC Teams to support Continuous improvement/automation Agenda and Potential Design changes
• Subject matter expertise for Supply Chain Finance processes and country issues; Understanding, creation, maintenance and governance of Global Process Models (GPMs), Narratives & Desktop procedures
• Land Projects in Operations with right Customer experience together with the PEC teams
• Responsible for delivery and governance of Globally centralized Supply Chain Finance activities with high quality, in a timely manner and with a focus on excellent operational and financial performance
• Accountable for the scope of centralized Global SCF Operations activities incl controls for your specified SCF area
• Responsible for the overall stakeholder management and governance with Market Operations Partner and Peers in Global Operations.

EXPERIENCES & QUALIFICATIONS
Necessary Experience & Qualifications
• 5+ years of professional experience, including team leadership and change management
• Good experience and understanding of Supply Chain Finance processes
• Experience in regional / global roles interacting virtually with stakeholders across multiple locations
• Deep understanding of Product Costing process
• Prior experience in SC Finance (e.g. Factory, Logistics or Procurement Finance, Product Costing is preferential)
• Broad experience in Project management (including senior stakeholder management)
• Financial Accounting Expertise mainly for Cost Accruals and Inventory analysis
• English fluency (Business level)
