About the Role:

This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of data-driven value creation which is pivotal for the digital transformation of R&D.

In this role you will:

1. Collaborate with R&D business teams to gather requirements for onboarding new data sources onto the R&D Data Platform and/or support the use of platform data in delivering tools that democratise data access across the R&D community.
2. Develop deep expertise as part of the Data Platform team building knowledge of the data managed within the platform. You will provide support and guidance to the R&D user community and Ecosystem partners on accessing and using data from the R&D Connected Data Platform, including the data products, tools and Dashboards.

Key Responsibilities:


• Engage with Business Group and Functional teams to understand their needs and explain the capabilities of the platform, helping them gather and document requirements for projects.
• Provide input for use cases and user stories, including acceptance criteria.
• Validate requirements with project leads and development team prior to technical discussion and estimation process
• Liaise with the wider team (e.g. Connected Data, Data Science Community and Experimental Data Capture Team and R&D IT) to identify optimal solutions to meet requirements
• Be the interface between R&D Business Projects and technical development team to ensure new capabilities are built as specified, ensuring any changes are clearly documented and signed off. Schedule & coordinate User Acceptance testing and sign-off.
• Work with change team to to develop training and communication material
• Manage project documentation and ensure its stored appropriately
• Provide consultancy / create business specific queries for ad-hoc analysis requests by R&D Data Scientist or provide guidance and support.

Key Skills / Experience:


• 2-3 years in a Data Analyst Role.
• Ability to understand, translate and document business requirements for transition to our Ecosystem of partners.
• Working knowledge in Azure Databricks, SQL, Python, R and Microsoft Power BI with a passion to learn new features on the platform such as AI tools (Azure Genie, AI Assistant, Co-pilot integration)
• Working Knowledge of Cloud based Big Data Platforms (e.g. Azure, AWS)
• Excellent Data Management skills with a good understanding of the Data Management process and reconciliation
• Strong analytical skills, problem solver
• Ability to lead, plan and deliver discrete data projects.
• Ability to work independently in an R&D focused environment
• Team player who can give direction in multi-discipline teams
• Strong accountability to deadlines
• Ability to work under time pressure
• Able to build and maintain relationships with business partners
