JOB PURPOSE

The Market Quality Operations (MQO) Specialist ensures quality throughout the Go to Market operations. Responsibilities include implementing, executing, improving, ensuring, and providing technical quality support. This includes ensuring market compliance, enhancing customer and logistics partnerships. The role covers all our Business Units: Home Care, Beauty & Personal Care and Nutrition for our Austria and Switzerland markets. Additionally, the MQO Specialist will support, and lead incidents related to consumers, customers, logistics, and local authorities in cooperation with the MQO manager and Business Units.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

  • Being the first point of contact for Sales and Supply Chain teams of Austria and Switzerland in customer / consumer quality issues.
  • Acting on critical consumer & customer complaints and requests (communication, actions and monitoring) and setting proper action plans.
  • Support the response to consumer for critical complaint where needed, solving of the issue with the Sourcing Units, design changes, improvement programs related to consumer complaints to be managed by Business Units / Sourcing Units.
  • Ensuring and verifying ongoing compliance to Unilever Quality management standards in the warehouses, through non-conformance monitoring and management.
  • Being a proactive business partner within the organization, continuously communicating and driving improvement programs from Quality perspective.
  • Supporting and where required leading issues, incidents and crises (case dependent - from assistance to lead). Executing market action as per Incident Management Team decision.
  • Initiating targeted analysis of quality data and preparation of KPI based performance reports.
  • Monitoring Quality blocked stock, ensuring correct provisioning and leading action to reduce quality defect stock.
  • Marketing Sales Unit Quality System audits where relevant.
  • Training other functions on quality processes for functional ownership of respective processes.
  • Executing digital process/platform for MQO.
  • Identifying and transferring "Best Practices" into the business.
  • Proactively driving a Quality culture value across the company, engaging people and making them accountable for their own area of responsibility.
  • Being a proactive member of the European Quality network, participating to workstreams.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Experiences & Qualifications

  • Fluency in German and English language is essential
  • 1‐3 years' experience in Supply Chain Quality field, additional experience in Supply Chain or R&D
  • It’s preferred if you have 3+ years' experience in similar Quality role
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in general sciences or technical discipline (preferred: Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, Food Science or Microbiology degree)
  • Minimum 3 years FMCG (fast moving consumer goods) business experience in Quality, R&D or Manufacturing
  • Proven and recognized achievements in risk and change management
  • Auditor experience is strongly preferred
  • Strong digital skills
  • Able to work organized and structured even when put under pressure
  • Local regulatory/compliance knowledge is preferred
  • Expertise in quality management
  • Proficiency in incident management
  • Strong consumer focus.
  • Skilled in change management
