Main Responsibilities
Consult with the Global & Brand Fragrance Design leads (FDL) on new briefs for Unilever local brands and partner with the global fragrance team on global brands.
Select from the existing portfolio and lead new fragrance creation with inputs from the Global FDL, Brand, and Global Brand R&D Director within the agreed scope.
Lead trends and insights for the region, ensuring speed of insight and fragrance strategy/preference for the region.
Deploy a fit-for-purpose menu ready for launch execution.
Candidate Criteria
Experience & Qualification
Fragrance Industry Experience: Several years of experience in the fragrance industry, particularly in roles involving fragrance development, consumer insights, or market analysis.
Regional Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of the South-East Asian market, including consumer preferences, cultural nuances, and competitive landscape.
Project Management: Proven track record in managing projects, especially those involving cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders.
Compliance and Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with IIFRA standards and other relevant compliance requirements in the fragrance industry.
Skill
Olfactive Expertise: Strong knowledge of fragrance creation, including the ability to evaluate and select fragrances that align with brand and consumer expectations.
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze market trends, consumer insights, and competitive data to inform fragrance strategy.
Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication skills to work effectively with global and local teams, including Fragrance Design Leads, Brand teams, and R&D Directors.
Innovation and Creativity: Ability to think creatively and innovate within a defined framework, leveraging the Global Fragrance Toolbox to develop new and appealing fragrances.
Adaptability: Flexibility to respond quickly to market changes and consumer feedback, ensuring that fragrance offerings remain relevant and desirable.
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensure timely execution of fragrance initiatives.
