Job Purpose
SBU Leader to lead the execution of global business priorities (GBP) and local business priorities in his/her area of responsibility, with full accountability on deliverables and results.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead Daily Operations
Oversee day-to-day operations in the processing area, with a primary focus on Module 1 Mixer. Provide leadership and support across production support units including dispensing, pre-melter, mobile tank operations, KOH dilution facility, and tank yard operations.
2. Waste Reduction Program
Lead initiatives to reduce waste, particularly related to Semi-Finished Goods (SFG) and Raw Materials (RM). Ensure waste levels are maintained within target thresholds through continuous monitoring and improvement.
3. Safety and Quality Compliance
Prioritize safety and quality by ensuring zero accidents and incidents within the area of responsibility. Implement safety and quality pillar methodologies and ensure full compliance with government regulations and Unilever standards.
4. BCT Reduction and Capacity Optimization
Drive the Bulk Cycle Time (BCT) reduction program to enhance capacity utilization in mixers and processing areas, ensuring readiness to meet expected demand.
5. Team Development and Capability Building
Develop team capabilities and technical skills to ensure smooth operations. Foster talent development from the shop floor using structured People Development methodologies.
6. Operation Excellence
Lead the Run-to-Standard (R2S) & Overall Plant Efficiency (OPE) programs to maintain optimal asset utilization and drive continuous improvement.
7. Formulation Deployment for Agility
Ensure the deployment of current formulations that are compatible across multiple assets and mixers, enabling greater processing agility and flexibility.
8. Innovation and Collaboration Support
Collaborate with SUIT and R&D teams to support the development of new product innovations, particularly in the areas of formulation improvement and cost-saving initiatives.
Candidate Criteria
Experience:
3–5 years in manufacturing, operations, or supply chain, preferably in FMCG or process industries.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial), Food Technology, or related fields.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Hands-on, proactive, and results-driven work style with leadership potential.
Strong understanding of production operations and KPIs.
Familiarity with mixing, dispensing, and tank operations is a plus.
Experience in waste reduction (Lean, Six Sigma), safety audits, and quality compliance.
Exposure to capacity planning and process optimization.
Passion for team development and mentoring.
Knowledge of Run-to-Standard (R2S) and Overall Plant Efficiency (OPE).
Ability to support formulation deployment and collaborate with R&D on innovation and cost-saving initiatives.
