The Innovation & Long Term Planning Manager role plays a critical role to ensure the landing of innovations aligned to BU strategy, planning and driving GM improvement across Supply Chain. You will be partnering multiple B&W GA SC Leadership Team members, Global BG SC teams and multidisciplinary teams - working across multi countries. This role requires extensive knowledge of the supply chain configuration, Functional Excellence in Project Management, and good knowledge of product design and manufacturing processes in Beauty & Wellbeing.

Key Accountabilities:

Innovations

1. Lead the SC work stream for innovation projects as per guidelines and framework.

  • Represent and be the voice of SC in cross-functional forums on innovations.
  • Provide inputs into project networks and be accountable for ensuring stage-gate OTIF on SC work stream.
  • Manage interfaces within SC i.e., Quality, Procurement, Integrated Planning, Logistic, Engineering, etc. for innovation projects.

2. Ensure robust SC handshake with Business Units teams on innovation projects at the appropriate gate.

3. Plan the execution of projects within cost, scope, time and performance parameters.

4. Lead program management and/or specific activities in category for delivering margin accretion via innovation portfolio.

5. Support portfolio management with functional partners in R&D and Category Finance.

Long Term Planning (LTP)

1. Provide Long Term Planning, set up Network Design studies and partner with BG SC to implement and drive step change towards SC efficiencies.

2. Provide guidance to future network constraint and prescribe the options to maximise CU, minimise SCCC and capex.

3. Prepare Business Cases for capacity needed, register capex and track capex to implementation.

4. Track mould/dies inventory with procurement.

5. Identify cross-border opportunities based on projected volume/market growth.

6. Prepare resilience plans and update readiness of the plans.

7. Liaise with CM team to ensure that the relevant capacity planning is performed and incorporated in the BU plans.

8. Plan capacity as well as augmentation of the same with critical suppliers to ensure the BU strategy is reflected in their capacity and capability.

9. Provide SC competitive benchmarking across B&W SEA sites.

10. Lead the make or buy and format sourcing strategy for the BU, and guide for best efficiency setup for existing formats and innovations..

Experience Required:

ESSENTIAL

  • >8 years experience in supply chain
  • Undergraduate degree in related fields
  • Extensive Supply Chain experience, ideally across different SC functions
  • Robust knowledge of supply chain from Strategy, Planning, Logistics, Manufacturing, Procurement and Sustainability.
  • Experience with project management leading and delivering cross-functional change initiatives
  • Finance and business acumen for supply chain
  • Experience leading/working with virtual teams and driving performance across a diverse mixture of cultures.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and collaborate in a virtual team environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal. Able to translate ideas into clear and specific project plans
