In this role, you will be responsible for Procurement businesspartnering for our Philippines markets with a controllable spend of more than 150mEU. While each market in SEA is different, PHstands out by being the market where we are start the early stage of market development, that demands cost effective portfolio and solutions to ensure our product formats grow in relevance and in turn grow our market share while growing the segment.
You will use your business acumen to develop and drive a solid procurement strategy that helps to deliver sustainable growth, profitability, resilience and competitiveness to our business.You will have the opportunity to bring the right packaging, raw material and collaborative manufacturing solutions to the table, and will be supported by a global network of Procurement professionals and material specialists in developing the best solutions for your market.
In addition to the Philippines market role, by being part of the wider Home Care Greater Asia and Indonesia procurement team, you will also be assigned a X-region management responsibility (eg. CM, Sulfonation, Backward Integration, Competitiveness, Sustainability, etc) to put in practice your strategic procurement capabilities to make lasting impact in our network across SEA for long term.
You will be reporting to the Head of Procurement – Home CareGreater Asia + ID. Beyond procurement, you will be working closely with cross function teams across supply chain, marketing, R&D and more, with very significant visibility and impact. Soa strong sense of ownership, independence, communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills are a must.
Main Accountabilities:
Business Partnering
- First point of contact for all procurement related matters from all BU stakeholders, own KPIs for Quality & Service, Cost & Cash, Sustainability and Responsible Sourcing.
- Understand business needs and define procurement solutions to support. Shape and expand the scope and impact that procurement makes towards business.
- Activate support from full procurement organization to develop and land material strategies, ensure wider procurement team lines up towards short /long term KPI delivery.
Financial Delivery
- Forecast and Mitigation – work closely with finance to receive and interpret material inflation, bring material dynamics from Portfolio teams and external market insights, translating to business impact and pricing decisions. Managing PPV.
- Savings Program – Lead development of plans towards profitability intervention through materials (buying savings and product logic), coordinate across R&D, Portfolio teams, track and communicate delivery.
Growth and Innovation
- Innovation Projects – Part of X-function team designing and deploying innovation projects, bringing Global / Regional portfolio inputs on supplier definitions, costings and influence the right commercial considerations.
- Disruptive Sourcing Models – continuously benchmark sourcing and buying capabilities via an intimate understand of material value chains, develop disruptive solutions that secures long term competitiveness.
Procurement Strategy and Operationalizing
- Materials Management: Managed in collaboration of Portfolio teams (regional/ global supply base). Maintaining strong material value chain understanding, bringing local market context to do-develop supplier and portfolio strategies relevant for local market.
- Collaborative Manufacturing: Directly managed (local supply base), responsible on end-to-end from supplier discovery to regular operational relationship management. Including qualification, sourcing strategy alignment with planning, RFQ/RFPs, responsible sourcing, contract negotiations and business awarding.
Service and Compliance
- Ensure sourcing strategy is resilient, enforce the service and quality expectations with supplier partners, organise structural interventions on service and quality improvement
- Ensure procurement practices compliant to responsible sourcing, audit, legal safeguards. Including contract management, schedule-of-authority, code-of-business principles.
Team and People Development
- Lead team on operational excellence, unlock capacity towards strategic interventions.
- Build talent pool for not only procurement but also for supply chain competency.Develop and provide opportunity for team members to progress on development plans.
- Positive influence towards Procurement community in PH and across SEA.

Relevant Experience
- Sourcing Direct &/or Indirect Spend, OR ProcurementLeadership.
- Business Story Telling: Strong ability to present complex topics in aneffective and concisemanner, effectivestrategicinfluencingat all levels, groundedthrough financial acumen and credibility.
- Negotiation, Objection Management: Ability to find common ground and commerciallyacceptable solutions, with risk identification and management.
- Team Leadership: Promote a shared vision and inspiresothers to embracelearning, experimentation, development.
- Creative ProblemSolving: awareness and interventionthrough the value chain to seekdisruptive, impactful solutions.
- Personal Effectiveness: Effective and proven strategic planning, ability tolearnquickly, handle multiple tasks and assignmentssimultaneously, resilient and determinedtowardssuccess. Calm in the face of ambiguity.
- University degree
- At least 7 yearsexperience in Procurement or SC, with at least 5 years in Procurement.
- Experience on large-scale, cross functionalprojectsleadership, change management.
- Previousexperience in FMCG /Home Care, or experience in commercial function or consultancy, will be a plus. Ability to learn and unlearnquickly a must.
- Familiaritywith business and contract law as applied to supplierrelationships.
- Proficientwithproductivity tools, data analysis, createinsightsfrom data.
- Excellent verbal and writtencommunication skills are required
