JOB PURPOSE:

The purpose of the Maintenance Supervisor is to supervise the hourly maintenance teams in full efforts the meet the business requirements. In addition, team development both maintenance and operations is a big part of this role. Unilever uses WCM methodology as the catalyst to teach and develop.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Managing manufacturing activities during the designated shift by leading and motivating maintenance employees in all areas including safety, efficiency, loss management, quality, and continuous improvement (WCM). 
  • Meeting legislative requirements, providing instruction regarding safety procedures, and supporting plant SHEQ initiatives as required (GMP, Hygiene, 5S, etc.).
  • Accountable for the productivity of the site during off-shifts. This requires contacting appropriate resources for issue resolution, providing alternative duties in the event of breakdown or material shortage.
  • Driving breakdown reduction using a robust root cause analysis process utilizing the WCM methodology.
  • Monitoring general performance and behavior of maintenance employees and adjusting crewing or calling in replacements, as necessary.
  • Utilizing Kronos Timekeeping System to maintain weekly record of hours worked, along with explanation of overtime hours worked and ensures hours worked, vacation, personal hours, absences, etc. are correctly documented so employees are paid accurately. 
  • Participating in the development of the annual site manufacturing and R&M budgets and controlling fixed and variable cost expenditures. 

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

EXPERIENCES & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or technical related field preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of Manufacturing Environment experience as a supervisor.
  • Willing to support off shift, overtime, weekends, on-call hours and holidays as necessary to support business needs
  • Experience reading and following electrical and maintenance schematics/blueprints
  • Must be capable of working independently and in a team environment
  • Proven track record of implementing improvement ideas

Pay:Thepay range for this position is$67,000 to $100,500.Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.  

Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.
