JOB PURPOSE:
Are you a consumer and market insights professional who loves to partner with cross-functional teams to drive brand growth? In this role, you will partner with the innovation and operations teams based in the US on iconic and beloved brands such as Klondike, Popsicle and Good Humor. This role also partners closely with Analytics & Growth Consumer & Market Insights (CMI).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Partner with stakeholders to align all research projects to the priorities of the US Ice Cream team and communicate actionable insights shaping innovation, communication, and in-market activations
· Translate internal business questions into qualitative and quantitative projects, including refining the initial ask and asking the ‘right questions,’ working through potential hypotheses to leverage the right methods
· Independently lead a range of projects including qualitative, quantitative, social listening and agile AI methods, plus weaving brand equity, panel and point of sale data to paint a full
picture for insights inspiration of innovation, communication, strategy development and customer relationships
· Help develop insights to drive short- and long-term brand strategies that help achieve business goals
· Leverage analysis and understanding of growing brand equity and how it can lead to competitive growth
· Synthesize learnings on these brands to inform yearly planning cycle (jobs to be done, brand strategic plans, marketing plans)
· Support with retailer sell-ins and key meetings
· Blend relevant macro and category trends together with social trends to inspire innovation development that creates growth
· Utilize foundational category understanding such as demand moments, segmentation, Point of Sale analysis and Purchase Panel data to ensure brand plans align with current and future category opportunities
· Champion greater consumer connectivity and deep, rich insights work to inspire stronger consumer engagement through innovation and marketing activities
· Support engaging programs that bring the voice of the consumer to marketing teams
· Develop strong relationships across marketing (innovation and operations), R&D, CTI, and creative agencies in order to truly put the consumer voice at the heart of everything we do
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
Research Proficiency & Project Management: Proficiency in fundamental quantitative and qualitative primary research methodologies, syndicated data, social listening tools and analytic approaches. Strong skills in project management, end-to-end management of the research process. Manage external suppliers to execute research projects efficiently.
Insight Generation & Leveraging Research: Ability to leverage research and data sources to deliver actionable learnings and insights against key business objectives and questions.
Business Acumen: Demonstrate basic knowledge of CPG landscape and develop category expertise. Exhibit proficiency in identifying opportunities for growth and optimization on our brands
Transformational Storytelling: Persuasive storytelling skills and experience with weaving insights from multiple data sources into a cohesive and compelling narrative.
Leadership: You will need to lead from the front at times and from behind at others. At all times you will bring the consumer to the forefront for the team. You will need to leverage this understanding to strategically influence your key business partners.
Experimentation: You are excited to deliver the best CMI has to offer in the new Ice Cream organization. You actively look for new and better ways to research, are comfortable piloting new tools and are excited to drive the adoption of AI tools within the organization.
Strategic consulting: You are able to confidently advocate for your perspective on the business, adjust with new information, and strategically influence teams for better outcomes.
EXPERIENCES & QUALIFICATIONS:
· Minimum 5 years of relevant insights & research experience required
· Bachelor’s degree required
· MS Office proficiency required
· Experience with POS and Panel Data (Circana, Numerator, NIQ) preferred
· Positive attitude with history of dependability, resourcefulness and goal orientation
· Passionate, Curious attitude, Strong interpersonal skills, Flexible, and Team player
· Experience in CPG is a plus

Pay: The pay range for this position is $86,080 to $129,120.. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.
Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.
