JOB PURPOSE:

Unilever Ice cream business in Europe/ANZ is the largest BU globally and with a solid performance in growth. It is also composed of different local market clusters. The biggest local market cluster would be DACH. It also houses the biggest Ice cream plant in Europe.

For this role, DACH business partnering will be essential which includes Local Market LT engagement, E2E local compliance, local activations and support, and local market competitor monitoring. This role will require passion for Ice cream, and enthusiasm to know consumer and customer needs and trends and use these to elevate to the RDC to shape and deliver brilliant, sustainable, product experiences.

As the RD&I Sr. Manager for DACH, managing local regulatory affairs would be essential for this role with guidance and consultation with the EU Regulatory Affairs Lead.  This role will also cover quality management by driving quality fundamentals based on RD&I design supported by TPLs. This is in line with our key priorities on driving superior quality.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead deploy for innovation, renovation and value creation plan
• Business partnering with local market cluster (DACH) for portfolio activation and claims
• Partner with DACH Team on Local activation and customer development support aided by knowledge based selling stories
• Manage regulatory affairs for DACH in partnership with EU RA Lead and drive product safety and compliance
• Work with Artwork management lead to drive efficient artwork processes for DACH
• Lead the management of deliver by design quality governance supported by TPLs and partnered with quality, production, marketing and cross-functional teams
• Drive Local Market Competitor monitoring
• Lead advocacy and external relationships at Market level

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

SKILLS, EXPERIENCES & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Extensive experience on business partnering as RD&I manager
• In-depth understanding on ice cream quality and quality management
• Excellent communication and project management skills
• Experience working with DACH with local language skills
• Time management and priority setting
• Knowledge and experience in regulatory affairs management
• Drive Regulatory, Health and Safety compliance
• Professional networking and stakeholder management, external focus
• Working with colleagues from different cultures and team building
• Degree level qualification (or equivalent) and / or relevant experience in a technical discipline preferably in food technology or development.
