Main Purpose
As a Retail Innovation Manager, Modern Trade, you will work to extend brand strategy and activation platforms to retail partners through the development Shopper Marketing (SM) programs that will drive sales growth and equity of Unilever brands. Besides, you will initiate, develop, manage, and measure all shopper
solutions co-created with brand, category strategic planning, and key account team by understanding business results, projected investments and holistic insights (shoppers, category, retailers). The ability to identify business building opportunities and addressing issues will help set the strategy to drive efficient and
effective programming.
Main Accountabilities:
Lead Shopper Marketing Campaigns
- You will focus on the development and execution of world-class integrated and collaborative shopper marketing plans. These events should deliver on the category Jobs-to-be-Done as well as customers unique positioning, shopper insights to fit the objectives of that retailer. Programs should drive category growth, promote cross-category conversion & be profitable for both Unilever & the customer.
- Responsible for all SM field-based programs from start to finish including annual planning, agency briefs, customer presentations, overall agency guidance, creative reviews and program evaluation.
- Pioneer data-driven marketing and shopper engagement initiatives
- Champion data-driven marketing initiatives, esp. 1st party data acquisition and utilization. This also requires owning change management process to embed this practice into marketing and commerce planning and execution for better media effectiveness.
- Develop winning loyalty programs Quatangunilever.vn to maximize shopper lifetime value. Build this platform to be a united O2O brand activation platform to engage with shoppers along their shopping journey.
Customer engagement:
- Co-lead JBP, T2T meeting with Modern Trade Customer Managers.
- Provide shopper solutions with measurable business and financial impacts
Capability building
- Lead channel audits, I-love-shoppers, and other shopper-centric workshops.
- Provide updated retail and shopper trends, actionable inputs for category management agenda.
- Team management and leadership
- Supervise, coach and manage performance of subordinates in the team.
- Assure process compliance and governance (data, POSM, loyalty, digital fraud detection).
- Other tasks assigned by line managers
Relevant Experience:
- Minimum 5 years in a relevant role in FMCG, with a focus on trade and shopper marketing, retail innovation, or marketing activation
- Strong in shopper and retail insights, concept building, creativity
- Deeply care for shoppers and ability to turn insights/concepts into compelling actions with clear impact · Experience in end-to-end digital platform building
- Extensive knowledge and experience with field teams is an advantage
- High commitment and ownership
- Strong stakeholder management skill and strategic influencing
