Unilever is hiring an experienced and forward-thinking HR Associate Director – Inclusion and Culture to lead cultural transformation efforts across North America. This role reports to the Head of Inclusion & Culture North America and will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our people strategy to enable a winning culture which fuels our business growth ambitions and strengthens our employment brand.

The ideal candidate is an experienced, well rounded HR leader who aspires to grow within Unilever’s HR organization. This person is a strategic thinker and change agent who can lead through complexity and is energized by purpose. This role requires strong skills in business partnering, communication, audience engagement, and cross-functional collaboration. The position offers a unique opportunity to influence the employee experience and proposition, partner with senior leaders, activate inclusive practices that unlock the full potential of our people, and partner subject matter experts across the globe.

Who You Are & What You Will Do

  • Lead Culture Strategy: Develop North America culture strategy and activations to boost overall employee engagement.

  • Champion Inclusion & Belonging: Develop and activate strategies aligned to business objectives while ensuring key stakeholder engagement and excellence in delivery.

  • Elevate Employment Brand: Oversee branding and talent attraction programs. Design forward-looking approaches that attract top talent, strengthen our pipeline and showcase Unilever’s values and culture.

  • Strategic HR Partnership: Serve as a trusted partner to senior leaders and executive sponsors. Build strong relationships across functions and employee networks, guiding strategic activation, cultural celebrations, and inclusive practices.

  • Employee Experience Transformation: Define and implement initiatives that create a winning culture of accountability, care, respect, and spark joy across the organization for all.

  • Change Management: Champion organizational transformation through clear communication and empowerment.

  • Compliance & Governance: Advise on inclusion-related issues, ensuring alignment with U.S. and Canadian regulations and Unilever standards.


What You Will Need to Succeed

  • Education: BA/BS required; Master’s degree preferred.

  • Experience: 8+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably including time as an HR Business Partner and direct experience in driving inclusion, culture, and organizational engagement initiatives.

  • Proven track record in leading complex projects with significant communication, change management and organizational design components.

  • Strong ability to strategically influence senior leaders and key stakeholders.

  • Skills & Knowledge: Deep understanding of Inclusion & Belonging principles, U.S. employment law, and compliance requirements.

  • Expertise in change management, communication planning, and organizational development.

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into actionable insights.

  • Certifications: PHR/SPHR or Inclusion-related certifications are a plus.

  • Mindset: Highly action-oriented, engaging, innovative, and agile with a passion for building inclusive cultures.

Pay: The pay range for this position is $141,680 to $212,520. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs. 

Bonus: This position is bonus eligible. 

Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
