Job Title:Instrumentation Engineer

Work Location: Hosur Beverages Factory

Educational BackgroundB. Tech- Instrumentation

Experience: 3 to 10 years exp

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide troubleshooting and reliability improvements for upstream & downstream manufacturing facilities to maintain safety, availability & reliability of instrumentation system.

  • Develop & execute instrument health monitoring system.

  • Analyze maintenance record to determine instruments failure rates, availability, reliability, failure mode Collect & trend process data using multiple historian databases & visualization software tools.

  • Determine specifications of all instruments & control systems required to operate process equipment Managing Engineering projects & deliver them on time PID control Loop Analysis, tuning & creating Operation logics.

  • Ensuring proper working of all logic related program in process and packing lines.

  • Ensuring proper working of all the electronic drives, devices (sensors, cards, HMI etc.), and backup of all programs Driving digital and automation projects for all areas.

  • Expertise in troubleshooting of breakdowns related to all errors of logic and programs.

  • Ensuring updated P&IDs of the complete site with cause-and-effect list of all instruments installed Education and training responsibility for the shop floor employee and drive circle meetings to understand areas of improvement and gauge performance.

  • Ensure upkeep of all OT and network assets and compliance to cybersecurity standards Partner in ensuring zero TRFR in safety and safety instruments and interlocks in place and periodic monitoring system for the same.

  • Initiate EMOCs with RA/RP for all non-like changes and modifications related to automation projects and program modifications.

  • Good internal and external stakeholder management.

EXPERIENCES AND QUALIFICATIONS

·Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field. 3-5 years of experience in electrical and instrumentation maintenance, preferably in the FMCG or manufacturing sector.

Knowledge:

  • Sound knowledge of latest AB, Rockwell, Siemens drives, PLCs and related software Working knowledge of Industry 4.0.

  • Good knowledge of instrumentation devices.

  • Good knowledge of SCADA and PLC control system Understanding of Calibration and measurement.

  • Basic knowledge in developing controller logics.

  • Good knowledge of Robotics Working knowledge of MS offices (PPT, Excel, Word), Power BI and AutoCAD

Skills:

  • Sound knowledge of PLC and drives Reading and aiding in creating P&IDs, HAZOP and SILs Good Planning Skills.

  • Must have the ability to schedule and break the project activities into effective and achievable timelines.

  • Good analytical and logical skills.

  • Should be able to translate the unit’s operational objectives into individual specific action plans and monitor progress periodically.
