Background & Purpose of the Job

Reporting to the Manufacturing Excellence & Category Manager, the Continuous Improvement Specialist will have the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Assists in monitoring departmental safety, housekeeping, food quality practices, and identifies conditions to next level leadership for resolution. Additionally, investigate safety and food quality incidences and makes recommendations to the Supervisor and/or leadership to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Ensures shift compliance with downtime tagging requirements
  • Identifies key efficiency and waste losses during shift and deploys resources to mitigate and eliminate losses
  • Leads and supports key ManEx activities throughout shift, including autonomous maintenance (CIL), centerlining, and Run to Standard activities
  • Collaborates with site Manex team to develop and implement countermeasures to top efficiency and waste losses
  • Implement programs and procedures to maintain or improve food safety, operational equipment efficiency, waste reduction, operational reliability, and safety.
  • Participate/lead activities to include training, food safety, 5S, WCM, and safety programs to enhance overall business effectiveness.
  • Presents relative information to employees on Production requirements.
  • Assist Supervisors to ensure programs are implemented effectively.
  • Other assigned responsibilities.

What You’ll Need To Succeed

  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications sufficient to create spreadsheets and draft documentation
  • Basic project management skills to effectively work cross-functionally with other departments
  • Required to lift up to 50 lbs regularly

Pay: The pay range for this position is $45,800 to $68,600. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.

Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.

Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
