JOB PURPOSE
Within Capex and Utilities portfolio, the Assistant Procurement Manager – Capex/MRO & Utilities, MET is responsible for the sourcing strategy development, implementation and procurement of all engineering, fuel and energy spends related to construction, maintenance and operations of Unilever plants and green field/ brown field projects in Midde East and Turkey.
Within this challenging role you will manage the BG Engineering Stakeholders and Support the Procurement manager and will be responsible for following up all strategic activities with some operational and tactical activities assigned to you.
WHAT WILL YOUR
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE
- Lead the development and implementation of procurement strategies relevant for capex project sourcing and its execution for factories and new Greenfield projects.
- Establish successful Ways of Working (WoW) between stakeholders and Procurement. Develop and execute ongoing communications with the stakeholders for the selected sourcing strategies.
- Manage relationships with Supply chain and other business partners, to leverage and land strategic plans.
- Support the project technology team in identifying new capable suppliers, Supplier assessment (commercial & technical)
- Participate and contribute to project meetings and lead procurement planning process.
- Multiple Stake holder management including Internal and external i.e., Engineering, Legal, Finance, Suppliers.
- Run specific sourcing Projects including preparation, assessment & negotiation of tenders (incl. familiarity with e-tenders).
- Detailed analysis and decision for Award of business to suppliers / alignment with stakeholders,
- Negotiate legal documentation – Master Purchase Agreement and Commercial Terms Contracts with suppliers for the project, in conjunction with legal team.
- Support on-boarding of new suppliers by driving full quality and RPP compliance
- Assist the Global Engineering team in selecting, piloting and rolling out new suppliers with market and/or global capability
- Generate and lead cost savings projects.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
Experiences & Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in business, finance, engineering, supply chain management, or a related field
- 3-5 years’ experience in Procurement, Engineering
- Experience on large-scale change management projects
- Experience in CAPEX/MRO (Maintenance, Repairs and Operations) & Utilities portfolio or FMCG
- Strong communicator with experience in working successful in virtual team environments
Skills
- Superior stakeholder management, both internal and external;
- Good negotiation skills for both external and internal negotiations;
- Good communication skills;
- Good skills MS Office (more than average on MS Excel); SharePoint; sap and most common tools available for office and communication automation
- Skilled at challenging business stakeholders and driving change
- In Fluent in both Turkish & English writing and speaking.
