CATEGORY/FUNCTION INTRODUCTION

Part of the Supply Chain family, MBS Procurement in Pakistan Turkey Arabia Bangladesh is responsible for over460 Mi (including media) of services spend with more than 2700 suppliers. In these markets UL TO is €2.3bn and UL material spend sits at €1bn. Most of High-Risk Markets are in PTAB and procurement is critical to ensuring our brands with purpose grow. Our teams work closely with the business to understand stakeholders needs, bring innovation to meet changing consumer, employees’ and customers’ needs, and drive financial value for Unilever through competitive buying. Responsible to deploy Global Portfolio Strategy provided by the global leads and program independently while ensuring the local strategies are being respected serving as a connector towards the stakeholders. This position part of the Marketing & Business Services Global team, under supervision of the Global Head of Marketing and Business Services Services and collaborates with peers based out of PTAB on a regular basis.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

Key Accountabilities:

This role is at the same time making sure that the business requirements on short term are met from a financial and service agenda but needs to ensure that it is aligned to the wider global strategy to ensure that PTAB MBS procurement is working not only for the region, but globally.  Preparing the ground from a compliance, competitiveness and cost perspective pov to then enable the implementation of the global agenda.  Acting short term with agility and resilience but aiming for the long-term vision.

•             Understand the business needs related to Marketing, HR and Workplace Services management spend portfolios in PTAB for MBS and bring deep expertise and insights across the value chain and supply base to translate the business requirements into effective future-fit procurement strategies.

•             As an Ambassador for PTAB connect strategy & execution aligned to Unilever Compass, Global MBS Procurement Team and Local Markets goals and priorities, aligned with Procurement with Purpose and OneMBS strategies and the Lighthouse principles.

•             Implement global sourcing strategies, operating models, and supplier relationships while ensuring the localization agenda for PTAB is included in accordance Supplier Diversity, Living Wage, including a focus on Sustainability and Responsible Sourcing strategies.

•             Execute strategic sourcing processes, follow Collaborative Procurement Model (7 steps) and focus on delivering best total value to the Unilever business to deliver savings across the supply chain.

•             Deliver against financial targets and other KPIs (including value delivery) as per business plan objectives, accountable for delivery of results (i.e. Net Savings as % of spend Cash targets)

•             Support to recruit and lead the MBS PTAB team that is being formed of 6 to 8 direct resources based in Turkey, Pakistan, Arabia and Bangladesh to inspire, develop, and support our people, deliver results, and create and promote wellbeing.

•             Liaise with internal and external stakeholders across the multi cluster, to support business, market, MBS and Procurement priorities and enable rapid alignment and deployment with key stakeholders of the procurement strategy and execution.

•             Ensure Portfolio fundamentals (i.e. data consistency, data insights, recurring stakeholder communications, contracts, etc.) are all put in place CLM/C4U Supplier Reduction target.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

Experiences & Qualifications

  • 10+ years of procurement experience (Indirect Procurement experience will be preferred)
  • Expertise in Sourcing, negotiation and contracting, ideally in 1 or more indirect procurement categories.
  • Experience in leading regional virtual teams in challenging environments
  • Understands how to build and optimize sourcing strategies
  • Understanding of supply market, value chain, and FMCG knowledge. Knowledge of HR, Workforce and other marketing or business services portfolios is a strong plus.
  • Experience in supplier relationship management
  • Proven capability on project delivery and complex stakeholder management
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or business administration, MBA being a plus
