JOB PURPOSE

Unilever is the place where you can bring your purpose to life with the work that you do – creating a better business and a better world.  This role is to drive end to end supply chain demand planning, by defining/owning the both short and long term demand planning strategy, institutionalizing best practice and supporting tools. 

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

Responsible for forecasting the SKU wise demand.  Analyzing data pertaining to market trends, fluctuations, sales trends to forecast each SKU’s demand.  Tracking the primary sales, secondary sales, end stocks to help forecast for primary sales.  Analyzing of data points of sales, market conditions etc. to extract and extrapolate clean baseline sales for SKU.  Tracking inputs from brands (BMI, activations, advertisements) and Sales (trade activities, trade plans) to forecast primary sales volume.  Responsible for forecasting weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly primary sales volume in the Demand Plan (excel based).  Planning and tracking calendar for trade activities and consumer promotions.  Revising and forecasting volumes for baselines sales, trade activations, and consumer promotion volumes monthly as per changes in the run rates.  Forecasting for changes in SKU prices, grammages, and other business and financial decisions.  Forecasting for and building volumes for new innovations.  Monthly circulation of Demand Plan to all relevant stakeholders – Supply Chain, Trade, Finance, and Marketing.  Calculating and tracking Forecast Accuracy and Forecast Biases of all SKUs, portfolios, and category.  Sharing and maintaining FA-FB tracker week on week, and identifying losses in the forecast accuracy and biases. 

SOP Cycle:

Responsible for conducting monthly APM meetings for initial SKU-wise forecasting  Liaising and coordinating closely with the CCBT for conducting meetings (Trade, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain) and giving inputs for forecasting  Responsible for conducting monthly DPM and Sign-Off meetings; compiling the cycle changes proposed and presenting to leadership  Responsible for tracking and ensuring any changes incorporation in the Demand Plan   Responsible for ensuring sign-off from the LT on the primary volumes on Demand Plan, and finalizing demand plan for the coming month  Circulating the demand plan after alignment and confirmation of the LT 

System Forecasting and Updating:

Responsible for extracting primary sales from the system and actualizing Demand Plan monthly  Responsible for analyzing sales data per DC, from previous sales, and updating the DC forecast accordingly each month in SAP   Responsible for extracting and analyzing sales data per channel from previous sales, and updating the channels’ sales forecast accordingly each month in SAP  Uploading and tracking the national primary sales forecast on SAP monthly  Responsible for ensuring system hygiene and tracking is followed. 

Digital Tool:

Tracking and incorporating the digital tool system for better forecasting of Foods SKUs  Comparing and analyzing digital tool trends to human forecasting trends; comparing FA-FB of both and then   Switching all ROB SKUs to digital tool prediction in the APM cycles  Coordinating closely with the digital tool team to provide feedback and gain insight on the system to help improve digital tool-driven Forecast Accuracy and Bias 

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Experiences & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or Business Management 
  • 3+ years in Demand planning  Proven track record of analytical thinking 

Skills

  • Computer literacy; software application and simulation models  
  • Intermediate / Advance Excel 
  • Analytical skills  
  • Strong communication & interpersonal Skills
