JOB PURPOSE
This role exists to ensure accurate product classification and preferential origin for all imports and finished goods in the EU and GB. You are the main contact for customs tariffs and compliance, represent Unilever at customs and tax authorities, and support business partners. You lead improvement projects, drive SAP GTS and AEO compliance, and provide training and consultancy, ensuring all customs processes meet legal standards and support the supply chain.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Act as Unilever’s main contact for customs tariffs and classification.
Ensure legal compliance of customs declarations and support audits.
Advise on trade compliance and deliver internal training.
Oversee product classification and preferential origin.
Lead SAP GTS and supply chain improvement projects.
Manage customs duty reclaims and reporting.
Coordinate with customs brokers and supervise claims processing.
Support AEO compliance and maintain customs processes.
Communicate with stakeholders across the supply chain.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
1-2 years’ experience in customs, indirect tax, or export/import in an international setting.
At least 1 year of experience in customs trade compliance.
Strong knowledge of customs procedures (import, export, bonded warehouse).
Fluent English (spoken and written).
Understanding of complex customs and procurement flows.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP) is an advantage.
Background in supply chain, logistics, or procurement.
Advanced MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
