CATEGORY/FUNCTION INTRODUCTION
Customs Operations Team is responsible for managing customs operations on all cross-border flows across Europe. The Customs Operations Expert will be interacting with different stakeholders both internally and externally (customs authorities). The Expert will be responsible for representing the company in front of the authorities for all matters within customs area. The Expert will play a role of in-house consultant for both the customs team and different functions across the company.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE
represent Unilever as non-established company (on behalf) at customs & tax authorities
first point of contact for customs & tax authorities for customs tariffs and classification matters
check and control customs declarations from a legal and compliance perspective (audit proof)
responsible for customs audits across Europe
place administrational appeals and / or report to customs & tax authorities
support business as in-house consultancy on customs & trade compliance
manage customs and supply chain projects (both European and regional)
setting up customs instructions for customs brokers
controlling & reporting for duties & taxes
coordination, supervision, and support of customs tariffs related projects as indirect customs representative of UEBV
deliver customs trainings and advises to the business
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
Experiences & Qualifications
Min. 3 years working on customs affairs, indirect tax, export and import operations in international organization
Excellent knowledge and expertise in customs procedures (e.g. import, export, bonded warehouse)
International trade agreements (Preferential Treatment)
Local and international customs & tax law
Background in supply chain, supply management, logistics, planning or procurement
Skills
MS office (Excel, Power Point)
Fluent English, other languages as advantage
