LOGISTICS PROCUREMENT

Logistics Procurement is key department for success of Unilever Supply Chain. It’s the best place to be to deliver value, drive change and have real impact on business results. The team covers all supply chain services, like transportation, warehousing, copacking, customs or pallet services.

JOB PURPOSE

The purpose of this role is to drive the Procurement Strategy supporting the ambient network transformation programme. Delivering cost, cash, sustainability through supplier selection, tendering, partnership and contracting.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

This role will report to Procurement Project Manager. You are expected to deliver the Ambient Network Transformation through World Class service, Competitive Cost and Sustainable sourcing by:

  • Sourcing Strategy development, Negotiation preparation and execution, Contracting through Logistics Sourcing Excellence, Gold Standard Contracting and tender strategies in line with the 7 sourcing steps,

  • Develop & support delivery of the Procurement Strategy for the ambient network transformation,

  • Subject-matter-expertise in logistics and derives value creation opportunities based on a deep Logistics expertise of market conditions and future market trends, Macro/micro economic impacts, Supplier pools, Competitor and Industry Insights, as well as benchmarking and cost modelling,

  • Multi- region strategic partnership program & roadmap leveraging the power of one to unlock value for all parties across multiple geographies & years,

  • Business case development and enrichment,

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Experiences & Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Procurement or Supply Chain roles either in Unilever / FMCG industry or within the logistics sector,

  • Logistics Procurement knowledge,

  • Experience of working in cross-functional teams both F2F and virtually,

  • Master degree,

  • Experience in land transformation projects (preferred),

  • Experience in conducting long negotiations (preferred),

Skills

  • Strong negotiation skills (commercial and contractual),

  • Familiarity with 3PL activity-based cost modelling and contracting strategies, planning and digital,

  • Supply Market Intelligence, Analysis, Competitiveness, and value opportunity identification,

  • Excellent critical thinking, analytical and story-telling skills,

  • Ability to influence stakeholders and peers effectively,

  • Ability and drive to work independently and influence diverse teams, across different countries,

  • Take ownership and responsibility,

  • High proficiency in MS Excel,
