ABOUT UNILEVER IN KATOWICE

It is Unilever’s in-house centre of business partnering and operational excellence in the area of finance services, supply chain, customs, procurement, integrated planning and performance delivery. There are 300 people in Katowice Hub.

The modern Katowice Hub office, whose interiors were designed according to the principles of sustainable development, is located in the city centre of Katowice, Poland.
We are working in the hybrid way to use the time spent in the office to influence collaboration and straighten the team spirit, using special designed for this purpose office areas. 

Comercial Experience – SCFS

The team is focused on managing portion of Unilever European Supply Chain costs related to customs and sustainability fees and taxes (health and environmental fees eg. green dot.). Due to European Green Deal implementation the agenda around sustainability is growing. We are hiring to extend the centralization of the processes in this area and to implement new regulations into daily processes.

JOB PURPOSE

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

  • Calculation of environmental & health fees, submission of periodic declarations and managing payments. 

  • Communication of financial results and variance analysis towards stakeholders.

  • Provide cost controlling activities to support month end closure process. 

  • Transfer Prices calculation. 

  • Forecasting. 

  • Knowledge transfer of processes performed by country local teams.

  • Setting up processes related to the newly implemented legislations in cooperation with multiple stakeholders.

  • Harmonizing and standardizing existing and centralized processes.

  • Perform data quality analysis on Supply Chain costs and Bills of Materials and request adjustments from Masterdata and Quality teams.

  • Work with big data sets. 

  • Participation in projects (eg. automation of processes).

  • Participation in centralization project (transition of processes, gap and risks identification).

  • Participation in audits. 

  • Update procedures, operation instructions and other documentation with process scope. 

  • Cooperation with multiple stakeholders (eg. Global Indirect Tax, R&D, Legal, External affairs, D&A, Finance Business Partners, Procurment, Customer Service, Supply Chain).

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Experiences & Qualifications

  • Finance graduate with at lest 3-4 year experience in Finance department.

  • Experience on independent position.

  • Experience in building up or transforming processes.

  • Project Management, knowledge transfer or team leading experience would be an advantage.  

Skills

  • Financial Accounting and Reporting knowledge.

  • Insightful Analytics.

  • Analytical thinking, problem solving attitude.

  • Forward looking approach and ability to provide “what if” analysis.

  • Good MS Excel Skills. Power BI/ Power Query would be an advantage.

  • Effective Communication: Fluent in English, oral and written.

  • Stakeholders Management

  • Motivation to build up own agenda.

  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively as a member of a team.

  • Ability to evaluate efficiency and profitability of proposed solutions and ideas.

  • Agility and ability to adjust quickly to the changes.
