JOB PURPOSE
This role emphasizes enhancing the integrated (offline & online) shopping experience for operators. The primary purpose is to execute strategies that influence shopper decisions at the point of purchase across all channels, both offline and online.
WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE
Omnichannel Shopper Development:
Develop shopper-centric strategies based on foodservice operators’ behavioral insights to enhance the shopper experience and influence purchase decisions.
Conduct shopper research to understand needs, motivations, and barriers at the point of sale.
Omnichannel Integration:
Align shopper development strategies across physical (in-store) and digital channels (such as brand.com, trade partner websites, and marketplace) for a seamless experience.
Work closely with trade marketing and key trade partners to co-develop shopper-centric campaigns.
Implement technology solutions that enable a superior shopper journey5.
In-Store Trade Activations:
Design and implement in-store activation plans such as product sampling, cooking demonstrations, and other retail activities that drive shopper engagement and sales.
Train and manage in-store promoters employed via agency to deliver engaging experiences that align with brand messaging.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of activations, including foot traffic, sales uplift, and ROI.
Regularly visit activation sites to ensure quality and gather shopper feedback.
Perfect Store & Merchandising Management:
Develop merchandising strategies that reinforce brand-product visibility and drive conversions at every shopper touchpoint.
Train and manage merchandisers employed via agency to ensure timely and accurate execution of Perfect Store at trade.
Coordinate with field teams to address merchandising gaps and maintain relationships with retail partners.
Oversee the creation and distribution of trade visual assets such as POSMs, displays, and other shopper engagement tools.
eRTM Management:
Enhance the brand’s presence on e-RTM platforms by managing product listings, promotions, and digital campaigns.
Optimize digital shelf space with engaging content, images, and accurate descriptions.
Monitor digital trade metrics such as CTR, conversion rates, and sales performance.
Manage and update brand-owned websites to provide a seamless shopper experience.
Experiences & Qualifications and Skills
4-6 years of experience in trade marketing, retail sales, shopper development, and/or in-store activation.
Strong understanding of shopper psychology and retail sales dynamics.
Experienced in agency management.
Experience in technology new technology Adoption.
Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and digital trade tools.
Excellent analytical, project management, and communication skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related acdamic or professional qualification (Not critical).
A focus on excellence in execution and a never say die attitude is a must.
