FACTORY BACKGROUND
Leioa SU is the main dressing factory for Europe that will celebrate its 80th anniversary in 2025.
It produces more than 100 kTons a year (1 Truck an hour) of Mayonnaise, Variety Sauces and Ketchup for approx. 25 countries in Europe and a couple of them globally (Africa, ANZ, China).
With about 170 FTE together with 3rd party companies on site (Logistics…etc), highly committed, it serves as Center of Expertise for Dressing Manufacturing Globally, leading edge in performances (OLE award in 2023, Waste in 2022) as well as pioneering (BuildApp created in Leioa in 2018) and leading the way (Competitiveness CPT & UMS). The next 3 years cycle (Masterplan) includes significant investments (New Technology, Additional Capacity, Renovation) as well as important opportunities to adapt to the future (further automation & digitalization).
ALL ABOUT YOU
We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to lead the People Strategy at our Leioa factory, supporting its expansion and managing all HR operations. Key responsibilities include employee relations, conflict resolution, legal compliance, performance management, coaching, leadership development, change management, and succession planning. This role also ensures effective HR processes, fosters a positive workplace culture, and supports World Class Manufacturing (WCM) initiatives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As an HRBP in the factory, you will support factory management and employees in human resources, focusing on industrial relations and transformation. You will collaborate with the leadership team, union reps, and HR centers to maintain a productive work environment aligned with company values. Additionally, you will drive change initiatives to enhance performance, efficiency, and culture.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and support the factory's people agenda by identifying opportunities for improvement, designing and implementing change initiatives, and facilitating communication and engagement across the factory.
Establish and maintain effective relationships with union representatives and the factory workforce, ensuring compliance with collective bargaining agreements and local labor laws, and resolving any issues or disputes in a timely and constructive manner.
Collaborate with HR centers of excellence to deliver HR programs and services that meet the factory's needs and align with the company's strategy and policies.
Analyze HR data and metrics to monitor the factory's performance, identify trends and issues, and provide insights and recommendations to the factory leadership team and the HR function.
Support managers and teams in achieving business objectives by enhancing their capability to deliver results, manage their teams, implement change, and build relationships with key stakeholders (internal/external).
Provide HR expertise through consultation skills on all people-related matters including personnel, capabilities, organizational leadership, and culture.
Interface with various roles and support areas including Finance, Legal, HR Operations, HR Country/BU team, and the HR Factory network. Activate and deploy global program roll-outs tailored to the factory's needs.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Fluency in Spanish and English is essential.
- HRBP or HR experience, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Experience with ER/IR systems and processes in complex environments.
- Proven ability to drive change, influence stakeholders, and collaborate at all levels.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships and credibility.
- Proficient in HR systems and processes.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- High integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic environments and adapt to changing priorities.
