This pivotal role is at the heart of HUL's sales and distribution planning. You will be responsible for defining and driving the sales strategy across all channels, working closely with the senior leadership of the Customer Development function. The role offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to executive-level decision-making
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Strategy & Planning
• Develop and refine the annual and long-term CD strategy encompassing go-to-market models, channel prioritization, and resource allocation to ensure sustainable, profitable growth.
• Lead strategic projects aimed at optimizing sales force effectiveness, improving distribution reach, and capturing new market opportunities.
• Analyze complex market data, competitive landscapes, and internal performance metrics to identify strategic gaps and growth levers.
• Work closely with marketing, finance, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless strategic alignment across the business.
2. Performance Management & Insights
• Design and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for strategic initiatives, providing data-driven insights on performance against the CD strategy.
• Drive the CD function's business review mechanism, consolidating performance across channels and identifying areas requiring immediate strategic intervention.
• Benchmark HUL’s sales practices against best-in-class FMCG companies globally and domestically, proposing implementable innovations.
Qualifications & Skills
Required
• MBA or Master’s degree in a relevant field from a premier institution.
• 4-6 years of total professional experience, with a minimum of 1-2 years in a Strategic Planning, Management Consulting, or Corporate Strategy role. Prior experience in FMCG sales or distribution is a strong plus.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable business strategies.
