JOB PURPOSE
This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the largest Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) companies worldwide and become part of an enthusiastic and brand-driven team in the Crumlin Unilever factory.
The siteEngineering Manager will lead the technical agenda and be responsible for leading the engineering team to deliver Line Performance, equipment reliability and utilities reliability across site. They will be expected to ensure regulatory compliance, upskill the team and improve site performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure Regulatory Compliance
Lead Process Safety Agenda
Support Occupational Safety Agenda
Support Quality and Food Safety Agenda
Lead, manage and develop the engineering team across site covering Maintenance, Shift and Utilities
Improve the site efficiency by developing and executing plans to improve maintenance, root cause analysis and developing improvement projects in line with the UMS (Unilever Manufacturing System) approach
Support the agenda to drive down waste on site
Achieve quality and food safety standards in line with the site and Unilever guidelines
Develop and deploy a continuous learning and upskilling program for the engineering team
Responsible for R&M budget
Responsible for control of Engineering Stores
Lead the recruitment strategy for the Engineering team

Safety (Accidents and process incidents)
Quality (Incidents and consumer complaints)
Operational Equipment Efficiency (OEE) – Minors and Breakdowns
Engineering Stores Cycle Count/Stock Accuracy
Utilities Budget
OPEX Budget (R+M & Labour)
Asset Management – Annual Audit
Duty Holder compliance – Electrical System, Process Safety, Noise, Asbestos
ALL ABOUT YOU
FMCG – Within a Multinational
Engineering background having both practical and applied knowledge
Experience leading a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and technicians
Experience with managing capex projects
Track record of delivering results through their team using advanced manufacturing techniques (E.g. WCM/TPM/Lean)
Understanding and experience of regulatory requirements
Professional Registration ideally CEng or as minimum IEng working toward CEng
Education Minimum HNC Preferable degree or other higher qualification.
Qualifications is Safety, Quality, Project management, CDM are desirable

Recruitment Fraud
Cyber criminals advertise fake job adverts with prestigious employers as a way of stealing information or even defrauding individuals out of money. In the most sophisticated cases, they will set up fake websites, which have a similar address to companies like Unilever. They even conduct fake telephone interviews and then offer candidates a role with the proviso they pay a fee for background checks or to cover work visa costs. These types of attacks are becoming more common as more people are looking for employment in the economic climate.
How is Unilever tackling this?
Many of Unilever’s recruitment sites publish a warning to candidates about recruitment fraud. The Cyber Security team also proactively scan for signs of people setting up fake Unilever sites and act to close them down.
