PURPOSE STATEMENT:

  • To achieve sales, maximize distribution, display, minimize OOS, and dialogue objectives in support of CD, Marketing, Area and Company Plans.
  • To deliver excellence in Trade Marketing, CD execution through the implementation of trade activities and the development of strong trade and customer relationships.
  • To support the induction and development of new entrants through in field training and coaching where agreed with the Area Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and drive Distributor Team to Execute Trade and Brand Marketing activities (Sales, Distribution, Display & Dialogue) in the outlets located within the territory in order to meet customer and consumer needs as described in the cycle and area plan.
  • Regularly review sales data and create reports for senior-level officers
  • Utilize business intelligence tools to provide sales insights to marketing and sales staff
  • Travel to organization locations within a given area to meet with and manage sales staff
  • Review sales policies and update policies and curriculum as needed
  • Identify both struggling and successful sales initiatives and explore ways to improve on sales metrics
  • Communicate actively with sales teams in a given area to help foster a team environment
  • Plan and execute sales meetings to help provide feedback and sales insights
  • Interview and train new sales employers, and overseeing other onboarding tasks as needed

JOB REQUIREMENT:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in sales in an FMCG environment.
  • High level of conflict management skills.
  • Analytical and decision-making skills
  • Good resource management and communication skills
  • Proven ability to lead and build enthusiasm for change.
  • Commercial acumen
  • Good leadership skills
  • Experience in the retail sector.
  • English language
  • Computer literacy
