Purpose:

The Assistant Distributor Manager will operate in each geographical location and have duties made up of trade channels which have strategic importance to brand and company development.  The key fundamentals of the role are to drive sales, distribution, display and dialogue opportunities within the trade environment they operate.  The role is also crucial in supporting the delivery of brand communication initiatives at the point of sales to generate brand trial and ultimately gain new long-term consumers.  The role requires individuals to have a level of understanding of consumers, brand portfolio knowledge and marketing principles in order to support decision making at retail level.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage distributors’ operation by ensuring assigned distributors provide the right structure, qualitative people with right and competitive pay as agreed joined business plan (JBP).

  • Lead coverage planning by doing coverage analysis, zoning, team splits, store coverage is based on principle and align with total company.

  • Lead sales planning by working closely with leadership team from assigned distributors to have proper sales plan by salesman, channel, and category.

  • Lead sales team’s capability building agenda by coaching & training team and/or providing the right solution how to enhance the capability of field team to hit the company’s expectation.

  • Manage distribution by setting a clear target & action plan to improve placement of Core of the Core (COTC) & (New Products) NPDs in their assigned distributors.

  • Competitor’s assessment by leading team to monitor the movement of potential competitors, update competitors’ activities, then develop the right sales strategy to grow sales, and utilize business intelligent tools to provide sales insights to marketing and sales staff.

  • Manage sales reports by reviewing and updating monthly sales plan and relevant reports.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in sales/marketing or business.

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in sales or business.

  • Minimum 3-5 years working experience in Sales Force/Marketing especially in FMCG Industry.

  • Excellence of communication in English both written and spoken.

  • Excellence of computer skills such as Excel, Data reading, and PowerPoint

  • Strong sales fundamental & team training & Coaching

  • Able to relocate to different location throughout the country.

  • Able to drive.
