Background & Purpose of the Job
The site Safety Supervisor has responsibility for managing Safety, Health, and Security improvement activities to achieve excellence at the site level. S/he works with site Supply Chain teams to develop the local SHE Strategy and improvement plans to achieve sustainable SHE excellence by reducing injuries, illnesses and improving site security as a measure in the core KPIs. This role has expectations of flexible working hours to work with teams across all shifts as needed. We’re looking for an ambitious, organized and highly efficient individual with a passion for safety, health and security and continuous improvement experience.
Who You Are & What You’ll Do
Deploy the global/cluster SHE strategy, policy, and standards in the site to achieve excellent sustainable results.
Drive safety risk assessment and develop/implement appropriate controls.
Co-lead the SHE pillar in accordance with ManEx.
Lead the onsite contract security team while maintaining entry/exit compliance (COVID as well).
Develop a thorough understanding of the Unilever Process Safety Management (PSM) Program and support deployment in the site and support the application of Unilever’s guidelines and procedures for Process Safety assessment.
Influence senior management and drive safety leadership through line management.
Monitor site legal compliance and ensure the site meets all local/national regulatory requirements and Unilever standards, provide advice on national SHE legislation requirements and implement relevant procedures and policies.
Assist in developing and leading the internal committees (safety, risk assessments, etc.); support the site in leading the incident investigation process and analysis.
Conduct trend analysis from incidents, near misses, safe behavior, observations, and deep compliance audits.
Develop and deploy internal SHE auditing and inspection systems, participate in audits as required.
Determine training needs and assist in delivery of training programs.
This position is part of the Raeford, NC plant’s Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) Department. In this position:

You’re a paradox navigator: Reduce the site’s safety risk while engaging each team to determine the best solutions.
What You’ll Need To Succeed
Bachelor’s Degree in a safety related field preferred.
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in the field of Safety or related Factory Engineering or other Manufacturing experience.
Previous experience in a Manufacturing setting; preferably Front-Line Management.
World Class Manufacturing (WCM) or other Lean Manufacturing Experience/Continuous Improvement Experience (TPM, Six Sigma, etc) preferred.
Exceptional computer skills including Microsoft Office.
Exceptional communication skills.

Pay: The pay range for this position is $67,000 to $100,500 Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.
Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.
Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
