Location of the job: Raeford, NC

Available Factory Shifts:

12 hr AM: 6:30 am - 7:00 pm (2/2/3 shift pattern)

(Must be flexible to work other shifts if needed)

Pay Rate – $37.36 | Weekly pay period

Who You Are & What You’ll Do

​​The Site Equipment Technical Expert role is crucial in developing the technical skillset and operational capabilities of our team members specific to APDEO Operations. This role is instrumental in providing hands-on training of our top 3 equipment providers: Polypack, Norwalt and Krones. The SME will aid in training operators on machine set-up, building a “License to Operate” for technical operators, troubleshooting during machine issues and driving down chronic operational losses to improve the factory throughput.

  • Demonstrated knowledge in at least one of the following areas:

Norwalt Equipment Centers: Extensive knowledge of the Principle of Operations, Maintenance Requirements, Troubleshooting.

Polypack Equipment Centers: Extensive knowledge of the Principle of Operations, Maintenance Requirements, Troubleshooting.

Krones Equipment Centers: Extensive knowledge of the Principle of Operations, Maintenance Requirements, Troubleshooting.

Basic Electricity, Basic Hand Tools, Basic PLC, Circuits + Meters Usage, Mechanical and Engineering Basics, Motor Controls

  • Develop hands-on testing and skill demonstration modules

  • Administer training courses and validate skills certifications

  • Collaborate with OEM on overhaul assessment + standards

  • Identify future training needs and identify training to address, specific to APDEO

  • Work with the area and line leadership teams to identify skill gaps and assist in hands-on upskilling of technical operators

  • Monitor and track skills matrix progression

  • Optimize + Improve the technical certification process in APDEO

  • Assist with site changeovers, breakdowns, and other activities as needed

  • Responsible for following GXP.  This includes but is not limited to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Good Labor Practice (GLP) and Good Documentation Practice (GDP)

What You’ll Need To Succeed

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent

  • Formal technical training certification/degree are strongly preferred (i.e. Associate’s Degree in Industrial Maintenance).

  • Prior experience training & onboarding new employees is preferred.
