For the recruitment of this position, we would like to emphasize that local conditions apply to the position and for this vacancy in principle we will first consider candidates based in the Netherlands. Salary:  48-72 K gross per year depending on background and experience.

ABOUT BENELUX CUSTOMER OPERATIONS

The Customer Operations Benelux team consist of various roles and teams that make Excellent Execution a success. The Customer Operations teams focus on less time spent on ‘Running the Business’ to reinvest in ‘Growing the Business’ whilst improving Customer and Employee Satisfaction. Operations brings Sales, Supply Chain and Marketing within Unilever Benelux together in realizing excellent execution. The 4 principles driving Customer Operations are: end 2 end ownership, maximized automation, one version of the truth and continuous improvement. Team members within Customer Operations embrace the vision and their daily work practice reflects the 4 principles of Operations. Operations effectively works in a cross-country setting, embracing cultural diversity and working in virtual teams.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE?

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a Benelux Customer Operations Subject Matter Expert (SME).  

The SME will play a crucial role in providing expert knowledge and insights in the Order-to-Cash & business to business area (EDI), contributing to the development and success of our projects and initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the subject (in the area of Supply Chain, Finance or Sales), excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.     

Key Responsibilities:

Subject Matter Proficiency:

  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of Order to Cash & Business to Business processes, staying up-to-date with the latest trends, research, and developments.

  • Provide expert advice and insights to internal teams, clients, and stakeholders.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, offering subject matter expertise to enhance project outcomes.

  • Communicate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders to bridge communication gaps.

Problem Solving:

  • Analyze complex issues within the subject matter domain and develop innovative solutions.

  • Provide guidance on overcoming challenges and roadblocks related to the subject matter.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Proactively identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency within the subject matter domain.

  • Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends, integrating relevant advancements into the organization's strategies.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in business, project management, Supply Chain or a related field.

  • Excellent SAP R3/S4 Hana knowledge (SAP SD/MM), SAP BTP.

  • Demonstrated experience with EDI (terminology, formats, design and workflow).

  • At least 4 years work experience in Supply / Sales or data engineering.

  • Proven track record of project and process implementation.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.

  • Ambitious, curious and the drive to explore new developments.

  • Excellent analytical skills, combined with practical creativity for identification of improvement potentials, process orientated and good in time management.
