JOB PURPOSE:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Intercompany Lead to drive the transformation and standardization of intercompany processes as part of our ERP implementation. Reporting to the R2R Lead, the Intercompany Lead will play a critical role in ensuring accurate, compliant, and efficient intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and reporting across global business units.
This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of intercompany accounting, financial reporting, and ERP transformation. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader who can drive process improvements, enhance compliance, and ensure seamless integration of intercompany transactions within the new ERP system.
This role will exist for the project implementation duration, expected to be 2.5-3 years.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Transform Intercompany Processes:
Lead the design, standardization, and implementation of intercompany processes aligned with industry best practices.
Ensure seamless integration of intercompany transactions across all business units within the ERP system.
Develop and embed robust controls to enhance accuracy, compliance, and financial integrity of intercompany balances.
Work closely with the R2R Lead to ensure alignment between intercompany processes and broader financial reporting.
Collaborate with Finance Data Model and Controls teams to ensure intercompany processes support business needs.
Enable the elimination of intercompany transactions/balances in the Consolidation process to ensure accurate consolidated financial reporting.
Drive ERP Transformation:
Partner with IT and Finance teams to configure intercompany modules within the ERP system for optimized financial reporting and reconciliation.
Evaluate and implement automation opportunities to reduce manual intervention and enhance efficiency.
Define intercompany master data structures, transaction flows, and reporting frameworks for global consistency.
Collaborate with Key Stakeholders:
Partner with internal finance teams, external auditors, and tax teams to ensure accurate and compliant intercompany transactions.
Ensure that all intercompany pricing, invoicing, and reconciliations align with business and regulatory requirements.
Provide training and knowledge-sharing sessions to empower teams in managing the new fixed asset system effectively.
Ensure Compliance & Accuracy:
Establish governance mechanisms to ensure compliance with IFRS/local GAAP and intercompany transfer pricing regulations.
Monitor and implement proactive measures to adapt to evolving tax laws and financial reporting standards affecting intercompany transactions.
Implement internal controls and validation processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity in intercompany reporting.
Test, Validate, and Optimize:
Lead the testing and validation of intercompany functionalities in the ERP system to ensure accurate and reliable outcomes.
Identify gaps, optimize configurations, and support seamless intercompany reporting at go-live.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
Vision and Expertise:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification preferred.
5+ years of experience in R2R, financial reporting, or general ledger management, preferably in a global organization.
Strong understanding of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Workday, or similar) and financial data transformation.
Strategic Insight:
Strong knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and financial regulatory requirements for intercompany transactions.
Experience in implementing automation and digital finance solutions to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency.
Collaborative Leadership:
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage cross-functional teams.
Proven ability to drive change, influence decisions, and inspire teams in a dynamic environment.
