We are investing to unlock the full growth potential of Ice Cream as a standalone entity, once we separate from Unilever, which is planned to happen by November 2025.

JOB PURPOSE:

The Ice Cream Executive Reward and Share Plans Lead will manage the Remuneration Committee cycle, owning the Long Term Incentive and any other share plans and the reward proposition for Executive Committee and the c. top 40 roles within the new organisation.

The Executive Reward & Share Plans Lead will advise on executive compensation, coach and develop the team, and above all, will help to incentivise colleagues to raise Ice Cream’s performance. This role will be the centre of excellence on all matters relating to executive compensation for the reward and management teams around the globe and will take primary responsibility for all central governance matters including the remuneration report, Remuneration Committee papers etc.

In particular, given the listing of Ice Cream planned for November 2025, the role offers an exciting opportunity to lead on setting up the Executive Reward Strategy, new Long Term Incentive design and the Remuneration Committee cycle for the new business. 

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE?

  • Act as the subject matter expert on all Executive Reward matters and own the execution of the Executive Reward programmes.

  • Responsible for all Remuneration Committee papers and the writing and development of the Remuneration Report.

  • Lead on all other relevant external reporting related to Remuneration, for example on shareholder consultations, the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders etc.

  • Own the design of and (through a team of two direct reports) manage all Ice Cream share plans, including the Long Term Incentive Plan.  

  • Drive the internal Return on Investment of the company’s spend on the Long Term Incentive Plan through effective communication and performance tracking, working with Internal Communications and Finance colleagues.

  • Prepare offers, contracts and termination agreements for Executive Committee roles. Ensure compensation is externally competitive through appropriate benchmarking and market data

  • Build a fair and competitive Executive compensation offering aligning with the reward strategy to help Ice Cream on its mission to recruit, retain and empower its executive talent.

  • Monitor best practice and identify opportunities for future development and innovation in executive reward programmes.

  • Develop and own internal and external working relationships e.g. with the Remuneration Committee advisers, benchmark data providers, share plan administrator, Internal Communications, Legal & Finance teams etc.

  • The role is also a key member of the Global Reward Leadership team for Ice Cream and will work with the Head of Reward and the rest of the Reward team on shaping Ice Cream’s reward agenda and on ad hoc projects as required.

Experiences that we would find useful in the candidate:

  • Proven experience as an Executive Reward lead ideally within an AEX 25 company (or equivalent) or large executive reward consultancy.

  • Comfortable with leading and implementing projects across multiple stakeholders.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders, will have operated in a fast paced environment where ambiguity exists.

  • Strong ability to analyse and provide insight from internal and external data; using such insights to inform your thinking.

  • Comfortable experimenting with new approaches, pushing yourself and others to achieve outstanding outcomes.

  • Strong financial & commercial acumen, organisational awareness and analytical ability.

  • Systemic and strategic thinking – keen eye on the longer-term implications for the business. Grasping the larger picture on our impact on the business, our people and other relevant stakeholders.
