JOB PURPOSE

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED / PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Perform month end closing procedures to include journal entries, corporate schedules. Participation in the monthly closing and forecasting processes for the site's production cost.
Business partnering with the plant team and the different Business Units (BUs).
Monitoring and control of material waste, FA WO, Capex, savings, etc.
Ensuring operational controls according to GFCF.
Preparing and analyzing Business Cases for investment projects.
New Product Standard Cost Update – Review and approve accuracy of product structure and routing file before updating base, current and going-to cost.
Review Daily Engineering Changes – Review and evaluate cost implications of engineering changes to routing and/or product structure.
Review, Analyze and Report Variances – Daily, weekly, and monthly review of purchase price, material usage, outside operation, labor price, labor usage and factory overhead efficiency variance.
Monitor Work Orders – ensure completed work orders are being closed and investigate work orders without activity.
Conduct weekly Cycle counts and perform if needed annual physical inventory.
Assist with Annual Budgeted Labor and Overhead Calculation
Assist in the preparation and execution of the year-end cost roll.
Strong knowledge of Mexican accounting principles, practices, and procedures
Experience with governmental accounting.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance & Administration or Engineering.
Excellent analytical ability.
Team player, Proactive and flexible.
You have good communication skills in English and Spanish.
Ability to challenge pro-actively.
Shown skills with MS Office (excellent skills in Excel) and SAP or an accounting system
EXPERIENCES
Experience in Month End close processes.
Understanding the Supply Chain Accounting end-to-end processes is a plus.
Good understanding and experience in Product costing is highly recommended.
Team management experience.
Experience in Project Management (e.g. new SAP version implementation) is a plus.
