Unilever is currently hiring for Legal Manager

JOB PURPOSE

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Manager, responsible for competition, sales, corporate work and finance within the legal department. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal counsel and support across different business units and multifunctional teams, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, and managing legal risks.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

  •  Provide legal advice and support on a wide range of issues, including commercial contracts.
  • Manage and mitigate legal risks associated with the business.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and projects, especially within the sales team.
  • Support finance in routine obligations and assist with debt collection and Judicial recovery
  • Participate in the negotiation, drafting/review and approval of all material contracts.
  • Ensure that all key Unilever contracts are legally compliant, and Unilever interests are adequately safeguarded.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. Monitor changes to law and promptly inform all relevant Teams of the changes and provide suggestions on how to meet any change in the legal requirements
  • Be actively involved in potential litigation and litigation involving competition and commercial contracts
  • Maintain good relationships with central and local government authorities and agencies that are relevant business interests, and which are within the remit of the legal department   

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

Experiences & Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree or equivalent legal qualification.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience, preferably in a similar role in the corporate world.
  • Strong knowledge in competition.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in constant collaboration.
  • Strong team working skills, relationship management, communication (both written and spoken), negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Adaptability to fast changing environments
  • Team-oriented, solutions- focused, and agile business partner who will work with a hands-on approach to extensive and complex legal issues.
  • Fluency in English is required.
