Background & Purpose of the Job:   The Training Supervisor role plays an important role in training and development needs in support of organizational goals and business objectives for the site operations.  In this role, you will also identify, evaluate, develop and deliver appropriate training programs to meet defined skill enhancement to be relevant to business success.  Areas of training include basic work skills, position specific technical training, behaviorally based training, supervisory/managerial skills training, and safety/regulatory compliance training.    


What You’ll Do:

  • Responsible for the design and execution of the training strategy and will work with Finance to manage the sites training budget.
  • Oversee training in all areas of the factory.
  • As a member of the continuous improvement Team, the incumbent will work closely with on-site Managers.  Influencing skills are critical for the success of this position.  The incumbent will be responsible for supporting individual continuous improvement Pillars based on their respective Training needs.  
  • Support function to communicate pillar improvement and information transfer.
  • Implements continuous improvement tools and skill development.
  • Track training matrix against skills profile.
  • Translates continuous improvement within the local culture to deliver against KPI results.
  • Evaluate training material to ensure alignment with skill assessments and requirements.
  • Comprehensive and systematic training program supporting the pillar leaders.
  • Identify training gaps through analysis of site skills assessments.
  • Coordinate and support site training activities.
  • Coordinate site training and education including scheduling, set-up, purchasing of necessary materials, equipment and reporting to management on training hours and cost.
  • Identify future training needs and identify training to address.
  • Provide opportunities for ongoing development.
  • Partner with the People Development Pillar for continuous improvement.

EXPERIENCES & QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Preferred Bachelor’s degree preferably in Human Resources or a Technical Field of study.
  • Previous experience in a Manufacturing setting preferably Front-Line Management or Training.
  • Continuous Improvement or other Lean Manufacturing Experience.
  • Exceptional computer skills (Microsoft programs, powerpoint, excel, etc.)

Pay:Thepay range for this position is$67,000 to $100,500.Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.  

Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.
