THE ROLE
An exciting opportunity arises for finance manager role reporting to Financial Controller, who will be driving the UAPL Cost Governance and Global UI Overheads agenda partnering with HR and business teams . This role is also the Business Excellence Lead for UI/UAPL, ensuring we drive greater efficiencies and productivity at scale in all our business processes.
The role is based in Singapore, part of larger and very diverse UI Global Finance Team.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Partnering and Performance Management of UI Global Overheads – Full ownership, Control & Governance
Provide visibility of cost types by geography / division
Ensure cross charges are aligned with respective entities and executed OTIF
Monthly / Annual Forecasting and variance analysis
Formulating Overheads Framework to accurately account for costs in respective business units
Drive insights and productivity /competitive benchmarking analysis to drive efficiency
UAPL Shared Service - Annual budgeting for UAPL Shared services costs using ZBB mindset & quarterly budget reviews with cost centre owners
Business Excellence Lead – drive continuous process improvement in the Process Excellence Leadership Team (PELT) forum. Also ensure proper training and documentation in place (License to Operate) for all processes for ease of knowledge transfer.
Pension/Insurance – Partner HR rewards on all Finance matters relating to UAPL Pension Scheme.
Controls: Ensure financial records are in compliance with accepted policies, procedures and external/SOX controls requirements. Ensure robustness of internal controls including clear segregation of duties, disciplined implementation of schedule of authority, robust payment approval/verification process, credit assessment, budgetary system adherence.
Manage month end activities: Monthly forecasting, Month end review, Analysis, Drive Insights and Actions with focus on: Overheads initiatives as part of the Fuel for Growth Agenda and Efficiency of investments (ROMI)
Develop close working relationships with the Global UI Finance team and share best practices across the broader UI finance team.
Digital Analytics : Any other Digital & capability improvements though new process/system implementation of UI finance vision and priorities

CANDIDATE PROFILE
Essential Experience:
5-7 years of progressive experience in various Finance roles.
In depth knowledge of Operational / Financial Processes: Performance Management
Experience in one of the Business partnering roles: Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing
Commercial support and decision support (including preparing financial models and ROI analysis)
Strong Analytical capabilities with bias to Drive Action.
Ability to handle large complex data set
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, SAP and BW operational Knowledge
Soft Skills:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Mature and highly credible individual with strong business and financial acumen.
Flexibility and comfortable working in a fast pace matrix reporting environment.
Ability to operate independently and in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to earn respect and trust from senior management.
Self-driven, forward looking, results-oriented with a positive outlook and a clear focus
Diligent and willing to be hands, ‘roll up your sleeves’.
