About Unilever

With 3.4 billion people in over 190 countries using our products every day, Unilever is a business that makes a real impact on the world. Work on brands that are loved and improve the lives of our consumers and the communities around us. We are driven by our purpose: to make sustainable living commonplace, and it is our belief that doing business the right way drives superior performance. At the heart of what we do is our people – we believe that when our people work with purpose, we will create a better business and a better world.

At Unilever, your career will be a unique journey, grounded in our inclusive, collaborative, and flexible working environment. We don’t believe in the ‘one size fits all’ approach and instead we will equip you with the tools you need to shape your own future.

About Digital & Technology
The right candidate will join a group of tech-savvy talents who are committed to the following behavioral tenets:
1 - Relentless on What Matters
We channel our energy into what truly matters—delivering strategic business outcomes that move the business forward. Every solution we build is anchored in our stakeholders’ priorities. We deliver with speed and adapt quickly if value realization falters.
2 - Designing with Heart
We design with heart—putting our users at the centre of everything we create. Every product, every experience, every solution is crafted to make their work simpler, more connected, and more meaningful. When our users thrive, we succeed—because their wins are our wins.
3 - Stronger as One
We move as one—breaking down walls and silos to unite Engagement, Product Domains, and Tech Foundations as a single force. Together with global and business teams, we champion what’s right for the business, not what’s easy or just ticking boxes.
4 - Fueling Each Other’s Fire
We are leaders who inspire and empower—as player-coaches who see the spark in every individual and help it grow. We celebrate strengths, lift each other up, and with conviction and resilience reject the scarcity mindset that dims innovation.

Main Responsibilities
This role is responsible for driving digital transformation through Analytics, AI, Automation, and emerging technologies to unlock productivity, growth, and operational effectiveness. Acting as both a Strategic Architect and Analytic SME, the role bridges business priorities with technical delivery—leading experimentation, solution prototyping, and stakeholder engagement while ensuring scalable, cost-optimized enterprise solutions.

1. Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and execute strategies leveraging Analytics Platforms, Digital Technologies, AI, and Automation to deliver measurable impact in productivity, growth, and operational effectiveness.
  • Lead solution exploration and “outside-in” scanning of emerging technologies, identifying opportunities to adopt or partner with strategic vendors.

2. Analytics & Project Leadership

  • Act as Analytic SME and Project Manager for high-priority strategic projects in Personal Care (PC), ensuring delivery of outcomes aligned to business goals.
  • Prioritize and align project plans, outcomes, and timelines with the PC team, particularly for growth in Special Channels & Strategic Projects.

3. Stakeholder Engagement & Change Leadership

  • Drive local stakeholder engagement, ensuring user-centricity and continuous improvement through feedback loops.
  • Advocate and implement a “test & learn” culture across teams to accelerate adoption of digital solutions.

4. Architecture & Technical Leadership

  • Serve as Senior Architect, supervising and leading rapid technical prototyping with an experimentation mindset while respecting budget constraints.
  • Audit infrastructure and architecture to deliver solutions that are enterprise-grade, scalable, and cost-optimized.
  • Provide governance and oversight for enterprise-level prototyping projects, bridging the talent/resource gap between business demand and technical development capacity.

5. Innovation & Vendor Ecosystem

  • Build and maintain relationships with strategic technology partners, vendors, and innovation ecosystems.
  • Ensure principles and frameworks for experimentation are well-documented, enabling scalable adoption across teams.

Challenges to Address (Problem Statements)

  • Resource Constraints: Build a framework for rapid, low-cost technical prototyping despite limited budget and resources.
  • Talent Gaps: Provide senior-level architectural oversight where current internal capability is insufficient.
  • Capacity Mismatch: Balance high demand for technical development against current talent fully allocated to business partnering, creating a scalable model for delivery.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

  • 10+ years of experience in Digital Transformation, Data & Analytics, Enterprise Architecture, or related fields.
  • Proven track record of leading strategic projects combining analytics, AI, automation, and digital platforms.
  • Strong experience in enterprise-scale solution design, prototyping, and cost optimization.
  • Demonstrated ability to bridge business and technical priorities, aligning outcomes with stakeholder needs.

Desirable:

  • Experience in FMCG or Consumer Goods industry.
  • Exposure to channel growth strategies and digital transformation in commercial or supply chain functions.
  • Vendor management and external ecosystem engagement.

Key Competencies

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to see the bigger picture and translate it into actionable digital roadmaps.
  • Technical Leadership: Deep architectural expertise with hands-on prototyping experience.
  • Stakeholder Management: Strong communication and influencing skills across senior business leaders.
  • Agility & Experimentation: Comfortable working under resource constraints while maintaining speed of innovation.
  • User Centricity: Advocacy for designing with end-user adoption and impact in mind.
