Job Purpose

We are Unilever Professional. The B2B professional division of Unilever Home Care.

This new division within Unilever is now live in over 40 countries across the world and we are adding more all the time. Our purpose in Unilever Professional is clear and compelling: We make clean and those who clean, matter. We are obsessed with clean and we are passionate about caring and helping those who clean. We salute each and every cleaner right across the world –we have the highest respect for what they do and the role they perform, every single day. The global business for B2B cleaning products in professional channels [Horeca, Office Supply, Janitorial, Healthcare etc.) is estimated at around $30B and is growing steadily. The ready to use market for professionals is estimated at about $8B globally.

In Indonesia, we are looking for a Sales / Business Development professional who will be a Business Development Manager for U-Pro. This person will be responsible forco-developing Unilever Professional growth plan, landing compelling portfolio of customers/operators, managing new and existing customers, and driving internal P&L delivery for U-Pro.

Unilever Professional is a dedicated cleaning and hygiene partner for the professional independent operator. Our convenient, RTM portfolio has been designed to meet the needs of restaurants, hotels, etc– each with a unique value proposition and clearly differentiated from our retail portfolio. Our products meet the needs of the professional operators we serve.

Main Responsibilities

  • Co-build and implement a compelling exponential growth plan for U-Pro Indonesia

  • Managing portfolio of new and existing customers, to deliver against the distribution and execution targets each month, quarter and year 

  • Responsible for driving the internal P&L delivery and external market share growth of all in-direct wholesalers in the region. Lead the field team to executional success by providing the strategic direction for region, using market knowledge and outlet data to build plans to win share and deliver exponential growth.

  • A proven track record of managing multiple influential customers and building brand new opportunities, you will have exceptional account management skills to succeed. 

  • Develop a culture of customer-centricity, with data and insight as the foundation for successful sales growth within region.

  • Identify new channels’ needs & requirements, develop NPDs to satisfy their needs & requirements, identify new channels’ market potential, approach, and win operators in new channels 

  • Find & Onboard specific distributors in related regions

  • Performance management of distributor sales team

  • Demand generation from high potential operators

Candidate Criteria

Experience & Qualification

  • Proven sales track record with at least 8 years sales experience

  • Advanced negotiation and customer relationship building skills.

  • Robust commercial understanding, P&L literacy - highly developed numerical and analytical skills and ability to derive insight from data. Demonstrate deep personal accountability for performance.

  • Proactive and entrepreneurial approach to grow existing and win new customers ahead of our competition

  • Effectively network, to manage multiple external customers and collaborate with internal partners to build value for them

  • Ability to work both independently and as a team member.

  • Ability to build rapport with senior management and operational teams

  • Persistent, strategic, focused, and not easily discouraged
