Supply Chain - Manufacturing

JOB PURPOSE

The purpose of this position is to provide effective leadership and supervision regarding all activities, resources and processes to ensure seamless production optimization all the time.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

  • Ensure strict compliance to Safety
  • Production orders and Targets
  • Receive production order for the day’s process operation from production manager
  • Ensure that daily targets are met to meet up with monthly production targets.
  • Raw and packaging materials Management
  • Monitor stock of raw and packaging materials daily to avert outages or wastages.
  • Ensure quality standard of raw and packaging materials supplied.
  • Compliance and Quality Control
  • Strict compliance to production process steps.
  • Strict compliance to process SOPs.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality product always.
  • Equipment and Environment Maintenance
  • Ensure equipment always operates at the right OEE.
  • Ensure surroundings and machines are clean and safe to run always.
  • Ensure machine parameters are calibrated weekly and set for quality production.
  • Maintain good hygiene in the plant.
  • Finished Goods Handling
  • Ensure accurate stacking and dispatch of FG to FG/STORES
  • Participate actively in the Accident Prevention Program by ensuring and creating high safety awareness towards people and providing solutions to defective equipment in the areas of responsibility.
  • Reporting and Meetings
  • Prepare the daily, weekly & monthly department report.
  • Organize daily production meeting to discuss and find solution to issues affecting operation.
  • Team Management and Development
  • Determine needs, oversee assignment of employees, and recommend development programs.
  • Develop and implement initiatives to build and enhance team capability.
  • Constructively interact with other units for achieving company’s goals.
  • Perform any other related task assigned by Production Manager.
  • Take responsibility for the safety and wellbeing of yourself and others including your own fitness for work.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Experiences & Qualifications

  • Minimum HND/BSc. in Operation/production management or related field.
  • Relevant professional certification is a plus
  • Minimum 2 years in production environnement
  • Excellent knowledge of manufacturing process
  • A solid track record of effectively, leading, managing and/or supervising a team.

  • Excellent leadership ability and interpersonal skills.
  • Multi-tasking while keeping excellent organizational skills.
  • Very strong computer skills.
  • Strong communicator (both oral & written).
  • Highly motivated with ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated commitment to achieving organizational and personal goals.
  • Proven ability to work well in a team environment (co-workers, suppliers, etc.).
