JOB PURPOSE

This position is in the Global Skin Care category based in Trumbull. It is responsible for supporting the global skin care category design program. The Process Engineer must lead complex global projects, support multiple projects simultaneously, and lead capability build projects aligned with the company’s digital and sustainability initiatives. They must apply data analysis (e.g., Process Analytic Tools) and modeling (e.g., Computational Fluid Dynamics) to provide key processing insights

WHAT YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE

  • Support the process design and scale up of key Beauty & Wellbeing innovations globally, across internal and external manufacturers.
  • Support issue management within global supply chain as appropriate
  • Lead capability build projects aligned with the company’s digital & sustainability initiatives.
  • Apply data analysis (e.g. Process Analytic Tools) and modelling (e.g. Computational Fluid Dynamics) to provide key processing insights.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

  • You’re a dot connector: Must be able to see the big picture and connect projects in different regions and brands to drive simplification and gross margin improvement opportunities.
  • You love to win and have fun doing it: A passion for success is a must.  Detail orientated and able to manage multiple projects.  
  • You’re a storyteller: Can communicate success stories across categories and functions.  Also must be able to present technical projects to a wide variety of backgrounds, including leadership teams and brand teams

Experiences & Qualifications

  • 0 – 2 years’ experience in industry with bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or Equivalent
  • The individual needs to be able to physically execute routine activities in the pilot plant.

Skills

  • Basic Supply Chain knowledge related to compounding and downstream operations related to product delivery to pack lines
  • Able to effectively organize and manage workflow of multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic global work environment.
  • Ability to communicate issues effectively to technical and non-technical personnel. (Brand, Finance, Manufacturing, Consultants, Leadership)
  • Work effectively with extended teams composed of individuals with technical and non-technical backgrounds & perspectives.
  • Understand consumer, business, and category needs while operating with strategy considerations to deliver the teams’ goals in addition to the larger Unilever Compass.
  • Ability to continuously improve and utilize digital capabilities as a fundamental skill.

Pay: The pay range for this position is $58,700 to $86,280. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.
