The role will be focused on Unilever Food Solutions (UFS) the foodservice unit of Unilever, operating in 76 countries with a Turnover of about €3 Bn, and having the ambition to achieve €5 Bn by 2030.

UFS provides products like Knorr Professional and Hellmann’s, as well as training and trend reports for foodservice professionals; focuses on meeting today’s needs and preparing chefs for future challenges through a streamlined product portfolio and trend-driven innovations. With a global reach and regional divisions, in Spain you will be a key partner in helping chefs adapt to industry changes, like shifting consumer behavior, staff shortages, and rising costs.

JOB PURPOSE

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Sales Lead to oversee our commercial chain restaurant & Local Horeca Groups channel. This role involves creating and executing channel strategies, identifying and capitalizing on opportunities, managing direct accounts, and leading a team of three Key Account Managers to achieve sales targets.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

Main Responsibilities:

Channel Strategy Development:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive strategies for the commercial chain restaurant channel to drive growth and achieve sales targets.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to align strategies and initiatives.

Opportunity Detection and Promotion:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the commercial chain restaurant sector.
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of potential clients and opportunities.
  • Work closely with the sales team to push and convert opportunities into sales.

Sales Follow-Up and Enhancement:

  • Monitor and track sales performance against targets, providing regular updates and reports.
  • Implement strategies to boost sales and improve performance.
  • Conduct regular reviews and assessments to identify areas for improvement.

Account Management:

  • Manage and nurture relationships with direct accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Develop tailored solutions and proposals to meet the specific needs of each account.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with key clients to assess performance and identify growth opportunities.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor a team of three Key Account Managers, providing guidance and support to achieve sales targets.
  • Set clear objectives and performance expectations for the team.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

Experiences & Qualifications / Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in sales leadership roles, preferably within the commercial chain restaurant or foodservice sector.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Ability to travel as required.
