We have established four Legal Powerhouses in Bangalore, Mexico City, São Paulo and Barcelona, which form an integral part of the Legal Function and provide defined, structured services to our other lawyers and to the wider business.
Where this position fits-into the team:
Part of the Unilever Legal Powerhouse – a team we’re currently building, which consists of around 25 colleagues in Barcelona
Supporting the Foods Business Group
Integral part of the Unilever’s Legal Function - a global operation consisting of approximately 500 lawyers and specialists
WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE
Conducting legal research and analysis
Support to the teams in relation to monitoring of emerging regulations
Drafting legal documents
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records and files
Support departmental records / data management and retention efforts using internal technology resources
Monitoring of lawsuits and administrative procedures
Support to the teams in relation to control of cases, deadlines and documentation
Submission of documents to the official entities
Supporting the management and administration of contracts
Simplification and innovation; supporting innovation and use of technology to simplify and improve the provision of legal services
Engaging with and supporting other lawyers across the globe
General administrative and office support as needed
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
Experiences & Qualifications
Essential
Law degree
PQE of 1-3 years of experience practicing law in a law firm or corporate legal department
Strong communication skills
Willingness and drive for process excellence
The ability to work independently and cross functionally under pressure
Capable with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint – including the creation of graphical presentations
Strong communication skills in English language.
To be a pro-active self-starter who is able to work autonomously
Flexibility and readiness to work on a broad range of matters
Excellent project management skills and ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Strong interpersonal skills and highly team-oriented
Excellent written skills and attention to detail
Being able to work and respond positively in a client-led culture.
Ability to work with colleagues across multiple time-zones
Preferable
Food law/ regulations expertise or experience
Experience of working for a large multinational and/or in a B2C business and/or FMCG business.
