JOB PURPOSE
The Procurement Strategy, Insights & Excellence team powers the transformation of The Magnum Ice Cream Company Procurement by embedding data, digital tools, and strategic insights into everyday decision-making. This role leads the integration of external data, advanced analytics, and digital solutions—driving smarter portfolio strategies, benchmarking, and tool adoption across the organization.
This role will be instrumental in shaping the digital transformation journey of Procurement in a new company environment, leading the design, integration, and adoption of advanced tools, data systems, and digital solutions. As a key enabler of the digital and strategic roadmap, it ensures effective execution, capability building, and change management to future-proof procurement in a fast-evolving business environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Co-lead the development of the Procurement Market Insights (CMI for Procurement) initiative by integrating external data sources (commodity indices, supplier financials, industry trends) to enable outside-in performance visibility
Conduct and manage structured market intelligence activities including supplier research, macroeconomic tracking, and dummy RFQs to identify sourcing levers
Consolidate and evolve procurement cost models to inform supplier negotiations and category strategy
Lead competitive benchmarking initiatives to assess procurement’s external positioning and market share contribution
Identify value creation opportunities by connecting market trends, cost drivers, and supplier intelligence
2. Portfolio Analytics & Data Integration
Build analytical frameworks and data models linking spend, supplier, market, and performance metrics across direct and indirect portfolios
Enable category teams with structured portfolio insights to support strategic sourcing decisions
Integrate internal procurement and external market data into unified analytics and reporting tools
Guide the data mining process to uncover patterns, anomalies, and trends with business impact
Translate complex datasets into actionable recommendations in collaboration with sourcing teams
3. Internal & External Benchmarking
Execute internal benchmarking across business units, geographies, and categories to identify best practices and performance gaps
Conduct cross-industry benchmarking on procurement cost structures, sourcing levers, and capability maturity
Deliver insights that support competitiveness improvement and strategic intervention planning
4. Digital Strategy & Roadmap Alignment
Act as procurement’s Single Point of Contact (SPOC) with SC Digital to align on the digital tools and data roadmap
Through strong engagement with Category and BU Procurement teams around the world, identify critical needs & capability gaps, prioritize digital enablers, and contribute to tech specification for analytics tools
Drive alignment between procurement objectives and overall supply chain digital architecture
5. Dashboard Design & Automation
Design and automate dashboards that visualize key procurement metrics, category performance, and supplier insights
Build scalable and intuitive dashboard solutions using Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent tools
Partner with Finance and SC Digital to ensure data refresh automation and consistent reporting structures
6. Tool Execution via SC Digital
Coordinate with SC Digital on the development, testing, and deployment of procurement tools and platforms
Translate functional requirements into technical solutions and support agile tool development cycles
Participate in MVP builds, user testing, and release planning for digital tools and dashboards
7. Tool Roll-out & Adoption
Lead roll-out and adoption of new procurement tools across functions and categories
In collaboration with the Procurement Capabilities team, develop training materials and train end users on dashboards, tools, and new reporting structures to build data fluency
Gather feedback, track usage KPIs, and iterate continuously to improve tool effectiveness and user experience
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

EXPERIENCES & QUALIFICATIONS:
At least 2-3 years’ experience in Procurement analytics, market intelligence, or digital transformation, consultancy or FMCG is a plus
Strong analytical and/or modeling skills with hands-on experience using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent
Solid understanding of sourcing strategy, supplier economics, and category performance drivers, complex and cross geography programs
Experience in other change programs
External oriented, able to understand latest technology trend and bring use case in business
Solutions oriented, results driven and a self-starter with the ability to also work in a team setting and can build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Has a good understanding of Agile principles, values, methodologies, and practices that enable agility and approaches delivery with an iterative and incremental (test - do – learn) approach
Experience of working in cross-functional teams within a matrix environment – both F2F and virtually as well as working in transformation, spin-off, or high-change environments is a plus
