JOB PURPOSE:

SERS = Safety, Environmental and Regulatory science.

The SERS capability provides safety, sustainability, and regulatory expertise to support the commercialization of new, higher-risk technologies while ensuring product safety and compliance. Within SERS, the Compliance Governance team focuses on designing and strengthening the product compliance framework, implementing future-ready governance practices.

The SERS Compliance Partnership role is a part of the Compliance Governance team and will fulfil a truly global role. For regulatory advice and expertise, he/she will work with the Unilever SERS community as well as with External Regulatory Affairs Partners across the globe.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE?

A) Governance:

  • Lead activities to establish robust governance within SERS Compliance.

  • Provide expert advisory support to enhance operational excellence for internal compliance processes.

  • Lead workstreams to establish 2nd line of defense ensuring oversight of existing compliance assurance mechanisms.

B) Partnerships:

  • Develop and maintain a network of external Regulatory Affairs partners.

  • Act as the relationship manager with our partners and lead the Relationship Managers Community of Practice (CoP). 

  • Establish and define operational excellence (ways of workings, speed & agility and governance) for regulatory affairs projects in collaboration with external partners (3rd parties). 

  • Formulate best practice guidance on collaboration with Unilever regulatory third parties.

  • Oversee the implementation of projects, ensuring strict compliance with all relevant standards and timelines.

EXPERIENCE

  • To be considered for this role, you must be holder of MSc or equivalent in Chemical Engineering/Science, Toxicology etc

  • Previous experience: 5 years in similar role/FMCGs.

  • You must also be fluent in both written English.

  • Background in regulatory affairs with a strong understanding of relevant standards and requirements. 

  • Track record of maintaining operational excellence.

  • Experience in Project management.

  • Experience in monitoring, evaluating, and documenting information to maintain comprehensive records.
