Job purpose:
The role will be based out of Poland as an Assistant Procurement Manager- Flexibles (Europe), responsible for managing Home Care portfolio for Contact Flexibles and Soluble Film, Flexible Packaging including traders.
This role is focused on managing the relationship and negotiations with contact flexible, flexible packaging and soluble film suppliers, supporting the BU teams when there is high impact service crisis, and supporting BU teams with execution of innovations, saving projects, generating ideas based on the engagement with suppliers to deliver value and support the turnover growth.
You’ll be a part of the Global Flexibles team as well as work very closely with BG / BU / Materials procurement team. Role is focused on managing the operations, aligning the quarterly pricing, negotiations, forecasting and supporting global flexibles team to land improvement programs.
WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE
Sourcing/portfolio strategy
- Execution of Flexibles Sourcing Strategy, translating the global and regional strategy, to respective sub portfolio and BU.
- Supporting and Leading Negotiations.
- Supporting BU teams on the pricing request for innovations, generation of new ideas from suppliers regarding innovation, sustainability and saving.
- Managing Resilience and Alternative Supplier Approvals.
NMCI optimization/savings/buying performance
- Competitively buy contact flexible, soluble film and flexible packaging.
- Intervene in Value Chain, Increase the agreement on right to buy and full price transparency.
- Identify new suppliers and develop them to strengthen resilience and create competition.
- Report the savings in the PEGA system.
Forecasting
- Responsible for price forecasting ensuring accuracy and completeness and communicating timely to key business stakeholders forecast updates timely.
Contracting and negotiation
- Leading and Supporting Negotiations.
- Ensure compliance to defined procurement procedures-contracting, contract management process.
- Contract Price Creation in ICAT system, and quarterly price review with suppliers.
- Close liaison with strategy and insights teams in identifying metrics, tools, and processes to optimize sourcing, supplier activities and efficiencies.
- Launching RFP’s/ e-tenders within appropriate timelines.
- Ensuring Commercial Terms Contracts are signed off with Suppliers.
Supplier relationship management
- Managing overall supplier relationships and regular connects.
- Ensure compliance to our responsible sourcing policy.
- Lead the rationalization of suppliers, materials and services that meet Unilever's business requirements.
- Support service, resilience, and quality strategies.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCEED
- 3-4 yrs Experienced in a procurement role, packaging experience is highly preferred.
- Strong Analytical and negotiation skills.
- Deliver on Cost, Saving and Portfolio related project.
- Good Excel and Power Point Skills.
- Experienced in stakeholder and supplier management.
- Experience in managing business stakeholder’s relationships.
