JOB PURPOSE

The Formulation, Process & Packaging Technical Project Lead (TPL) is responsible for delivering end‑to‑end technical execution across formulation, processing, packaging, regulatory compliance, artwork, and product lifecycle management within BWPC categories. The role ensures that product changes—innovation, renovation, or compliance-driven—are technically sound, regulatory‑compliant, and operationally feasible. It partners closely with key functions including Supply Chain, Quality, Regulatory, Marketing, Procurement, and Planning to ensure readiness for production, artwork accuracy, raw material validation, and smooth execution of product transitions.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

Product Development & Formulation

• Lead formulation development, updates, recipe alignment, and specification management (GRs, CUCs, technical documentation).

• Ensure formulation compliance with regulatory, claims, quality, and safety standards.

• Resolve technical formulation issues and maintain accurate documentation in PLM.

Technical Project Leadership

• Manage technical delivery for product changes, ensuring on‑time execution and alignment across cross‑functional teams.

• Lead technical risk assessments (TRA), mitigation planning, and documentation.

• Provide technical inputs for business cases, feasibility assessments, and cost evaluations.

Packaging, Artwork & Labeling

• Oversee artwork changes, PMD preparation, and technical approval workflows.

• Ensure artwork accuracy with respect to formulations, claims, allergens, and regulatory requirements.

• Coordinate packaging specifications, print readiness, and packaging change implementation.

Supply Chain Support

• Provide technical support for manufacturing readiness, start‑up activities, and process validation.

• Lead factory trials, verify process fit, and resolve technical issues that arise during production.

• Ensure correct documentation, specifications, and materials are available for operational execution.

Raw Material & Supplier Development

• Support raw material qualification, alternative supplier evaluations, and compliance‑aligned testing.

• Lead RM analytical, stability, sensory, and SOP‑driven approval processes in collaboration with Quality and Procurement.

Systems & Data Management

• Maintain high-quality data accuracy in PLM, Blue, SRS, Artlink, and related systems.

• Manage specification revisions, recipe linkages, and documentation updates across digital tools.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

• Partner with Marketing, Quality, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Planning, Procurement, and external partners to execute product changes smoothly.

• Provide technical guidance across project teams and contribute to decision-making.

Capability Building & Knowledge Management

• Deliver technical training, knowledge‑based sessions, and internal capability development.

• Prepare SOPs, technical guidelines, and handover documentation for team continuity.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

Experiences & Qualifications

• Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or related technical discipline.

• 3 - 5 years' experience in formulation, processing, packaging, or R&D technical roles.

• Demonstrated capability in managing multiple technical projects simultaneously.

• Proficiency in digital R&D systems (e.g., PLM, Blue, artwork and specification tools).

• Strong analytical, documentation, and problem‑solving skills.
