JOB PURPOSE
Nutrition Finance Lead Turkey & Arabia role is the custodian of value creation in the business and reports to NT Finance Lead PTAB. You will be a key member of the Nutrition Turkey Leadership team and Nutrition PTAB Finance Leadership team in this capacity. This role manages and drives end to end P&L in a cross-functional set up.
Building and executing a strategy to unlock value in this role will be a key enabler for overall success. You will develop a strong commercial acumen, good knowledge of supply chain and have organizational awareness to connect and collaborate. You are expected to incorporate agile in the way of BU working and lead simplification.
WHAT WILL BE YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE
Delivery of in-year financial performance vs targets
- Partner with NUT Turkey leadership and teams to drive business delivery to achieve financial targets
- Proactively manage risk and opportunities within the business and flag in a timely manner
- Partner Marketing teams on in-market projects (innovations, renovations) to support growth
- Drive value creation programmes (e.g. NRM, ZBB, F4G) to maximize growth and profitability
- Provide decision support and oversight for sourcing strategy and capex projects
- Support delivery of overheads, geography cash targets for BU
Performance Management:
- Oversee Finance Performance Management to ensure targets are met.
- Coordinate monthly country performance reviews within the Business Unit (BU).
- Assist the BU General Manager and Finance lead in preparing for the BG/BU monthly meetings.
- Ensure the Forecasting process is completed on time and comprehensively for the BU, and share related insights with the BU Leadership Team.
- Perform timely and comprehensive analysis of actuals, and provide actionable insights to the BU Leadership Team.
- Lead the automation of reporting and analytics in collaboration with the Data & Analytics (D&A) Team.
- Convert insights into necessary interventions to create both short-term and long-term value for the BU.
Financial forecast accuracy
- Ensure accuracy of monthly financial forecast by leading and ensuring a robust Country S&OP
- Provide insight and analysis to all relevant stakeholders (Country and BU LT) on monthly results and forecasts
- Work with local country Finance Excellence Team (FET) to ensure the cash-up process is done in a timely and quality manner
- Managing month end closing, forecasting and reporting activities; following up actions for financial performance
Development of long-term strategy
- Develop the NUT Turkey ambition and financial framework for the long-term, in alignment with the BG/BU strategic priorities
- With the BU Finance leadership, identify and execute relevant initiatives to support the overall strategy for both the BU as well as the Finance function
Business Partnering
- Support and partner with the business teams in business modelling, P&L forecasts, competitor benchmarking
- Make interventions in the areas of Gross Margin (GM), Pricing, Return on Media Investment (ROMI), Promotions & market development
- Preparation of business cases in collaboration with brand teams as well as the Research & Development (R&D) and Consumer & Market Insight (CMI) communities; Drive post-launch intervention
- Work on pricing strategies, competitive analysis & benchmarking and business process redesign.
- Analyze financial results and key trends, assess current and future business risks, and communicate results to leadership.
Stewardship
- Ensure controls in place and functioning for pricing, promotion including SoA
- Ensure non-financial controls are managed according to Unilever standards
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
Experiences & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. MBA, CPA, CMA certification a plus.
- Minimum 7 years of financial experience or similar positions, preferably in FMCG sector

- Strong commercial finance acumen with proven ability to partner and influence business strategy

- Advanced skills in Excel, and in-depth knowledge of SAP and BW.
