It is Unilever’s in-house centre of business partnering and operational excellence in the area of finance services, supply chain, customs, procurement, integrated planning and performance delivery. There are 300 people in Katowice Hub.
The modern Katowice Hub office, whose interiors were designed according to the principles of sustainable development, is located in the city centre of Katowice, Poland.
We are working in the hybrid way to use the time spent in the office to influence collaboration and straighten the team spirit, using special designed for this purpose office areas.
CATEGORY/FUNCTION INTRODUCTION
Tariff team as part of European Customs Team is responsible for maintaining classification of all Unilever products that are moved cross borders and for determining the preferential origin of Unilever goods. The role of the team is crucial for business, as it directly impacts the cost and efficiency of importing and exporting goods. The team is based in Katowice Hub and is working across all business units. In the role you will play a pivotal role in managing customs tariffs compliance tasks and supporting internal stakeholders in leveraging customs cost savings. The role covers leading the work, tasks and targets of the Customs Tariff Team. The Tariff Asistant Manager will be interacting with different stakeholders across different Unilever functions and all business units.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE
Lead and develop the team of about 10 direct reports
Supervise daily operations for customs tariffs cross EU
Coordinate all subjects related to SAP GTS in classification and origin
Manage the team's workload by allocating tasks and resources
Ensure the team career development and knowledge enhancement
Driving continuous improvement in all processes across the oring and tariff area
Represent Unilever at customs & tax authorities
Escalation point for all matters related to classification and origin determination
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess team performance and identify potential areas for improvement
Supervise audits on customs tariffs from the authorities across Europe
Support business as in-house consultancy on customs & trade compliance
Manage and lead customs tariffs and origin related projects across Europe
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
Experiences & Qualifications
Min. 3 years working on customs, indirect tax, export and import operations in international organization
Understanding of international trade compliance and customs regulations
International trade agreements knowledge
Background in supply chain, supply management, logistics, planning or procurement
Skills
MS office (Excel, Power Point)
Fluent English, other languages as advantage
Proven track record of leading high-performing teams and achieving successful results
Ability to work in dynamic environment managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
