Brand Experiences Team

The Brand Experiences team is a central team in the PC BG group that leads the Personal Care businesses Marketing Transformation, working closely with global brand teams and the Business Unit/Country marketing teams to design and deploy culturally relevant partnerships, brand engagement plans, digital brand experiences, social, influencer and creator strategy and execution, plus a talent and technology powered content infrastructure (powering an “always on” content engine). An assistant manager reports into this role.

Key Responsibilities

This is a critical role within Personal Care brands transformation towards Social-First Demand Generation. Specifically, this role will lead overall Personal Care strategy and execution of Social Content with specific focus on Influencer and Creator marketing plus the activation, curation and deployment of community-based User Generated Content. This role will work in close collaboration with the influencer and creator specialists within our Brand and Country marketing teams. The key areas of responsibility includes:

  • Lead the Influencer and Creator ‘practice’ for Personal Care globally

  • Influencer & Creator Marketing capabilities including “Culture & Community” agency rosters, best practice approach to people-marketing partnerships, briefing, content quality, deployment excellence and measurement.

  • Support brand-level specialists on driving impactful Influencer and Creator activities across priority Countries.

  • Deliver recaps and share learning across the business to ensure future work is optimized.

  • Pilot new innovations and thinking, identify standout local work, create repeatable models and drive scale.

  • Manage and build relationships with agencies, media and measurement partners

  • Be responsible for onboarding and training new specialists and at times upskilling marketeers to understand social and how to deliver it effectively in their total brand marketing.

  • Work with procurement and brands to maintain agency relationships and platform and partner relationships.

  • Experiment with new ways to engage Influencers and Creators to drive winning in social first across brands in the business group.

  • Work with Media & Partnership teams, Creative, Social and Media agency teams to create amplification guidance for tentpole cultural partnerships and campaigns

  • Football and FIFA plan amplification globally for upcoming tournaments.

  • Other Culture and Community Influencer and Creator collaborations across brands, e.g. Music, Sport passion areas.

  • Be responsible for training and up-skilling Personal Care’s extended Social, Influencer and Creator teams (within Brands and Country teams) and create key Influencer marketing blueprints and other related training and/or guidance.

  • Partner Procurement and Brands to lead the definition, execution and measurement of the Personal Care Influencer and Creator roster of agencies, supporting country teams in identifying their local network of agencies.

  • Work with CMI engagement to develop a clear methodology to measure (key performance and brand metrics, KPIs etc) of all Influencer and Creator campaigns and/or pilots to enable a repeatable and consistent model.

All About You

  • A specialist in social media (established experience either at an agency, in-house, and/or platform) with specific experience in Influencer and Creator marketing and social content (proven experience in this specific area).

  • A strategist and a thought leader that leverages their thinking skills to develop strong strategies and POVs

  • A social pioneer, who is infatuated with learning and anticipating where these disciplines will go and loves to pioneer new marketing power models.

  • A “doer” who knows how to deliver tangible business results

  • A collaborator who thrives on working together with different teams and marketing specialities to execute best-in-class social strategies and plans with excellence and clarity

  • A data junkie with a strong business mindset who can pinpoint what is needed to drive impact and business results

  • You are innately curious, externally oriented, and personally engaged in culture(s)

  • You have the confidence to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment, able to remove barriers and move the business group marketing agenda forward independently.

  • Strategic thinking and planning.

  • Seasoned manager who knows how to brief, trust and power a team.

  • Excellent Senior Stakeholder management with proven experience within a large organisation, platform or large agency.

  • Strong data analytical mindset and analytics understanding, with experience of social listening, analytics, and community management tools

  • Understanding of social insights – how to find them, how to use them

  • Social Influence & channel management & in-depth knowledge of the social media landscape, knowing how to build, maintain, and evaluate influencer and social content across all social channels including the new emerging channels.

  • Excellent presentation skills

  • Clear understanding of the requirements and demands of an international role.

  • Strong project management skills: Proven ability to oversee and track multiple projects with various due dates and varying requirements and priorities in a highly challenging environment.

  • Paid social knowledge is critical.

  • Good influencing skills and strong proven networking abilities. Ability to work independently or with an agency.

  • Team player. Keeps a balance between personal accountability and delivery through teamwork.

Location

In 2020, Unilever announced the intention to build a new sustainable campus site in Kingston, London to house the employees who currently work in 100 Victoria Embankment in Blackfriars ("100VE"), Lever House in Kingston and Graze in Richmond, the build is due to be complete in early 2025. Most recently, in August 2024, we announced our intention to retain our premises in 100VE until our lease expires in 2027.

We are due to consult with our existing workforce on the new proposal to retain 100VE for the duration of our lease. Therefore, until such a time consultation has concluded as to the retention of our 100VE office, this role will be based in 100 Victoria Embankment until early 2025 and then will move to the Kingston Campus.
