BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF ROLE
This role is responsible for developing and executing Trade Marketing Plans in line with sales and marketing objectives. The Out Of Home (OOH) Ice Cream Category Strategy & Planning Assistant Manager leads in establishing and monitoring category & channel principles to guide the execution of growth initiatives to be implemented in trade.
This role is the liaison between Brand Marketing teams and Field Sales, ensuring seamless flow-through of OOH brand campaigns into holistic and scalable trade executions. This includes landing impactful activation programs with partners to improve brand visibility and improving brand presence and campaign execution across trade.
JOB SUMMARY:
This role will handle Category Strategy & Planning for OOH Ice Cream, in which he/she needs to:
- Establish and monitor Category & Channel Principles thru Perfect Store program to support the Sales team with recommendations and guidance for Availability & Assortment, Discoverability, Activations and Media
- Monitor and analyze channel, brand, area, and customer sales performance to identify opportunities to grow the ice cream category
- Develop Category Growth & Market Development Strategies based on category, shopper, and market insights that flow through to annual Omni-business plans for customers
- Work with the Ice Cream Business Units and Shopper & Channel Marketing teams in translating Brand Plans into holistic and scalable Ice Cream Programs
- Lead OOH Category Operations and land Perfect Launches with forecasting & demand planning, overseeing end-to-end launch networks and managing perfect execution of 360 brand campaigns across different selling channels
- Lead business decisions by recommending strategic actions grounded in Net Revenue Management Levers to optimize the profitability of the company
KEY STAKEHOLDERS:
- Brand Marketing Team, Shopper & Channel Marketing Team, Market Planning & Operations Team, CD Development Groups, Field Teams
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate of a Business/Data Science or any related degree
- Minimum 2-3 years experience in Trade Marketing, 1 year relevant experience in Shopper Marketing or Field Sales or Key Account Management is a plus
- Experience in Data Analytics or CMI within an FMCG environment is a plus
- Excellent MS Office Skills, especially Excel and Powerpoint
- Preferably with experience in FMCG industry DESIRED SKILLS
- Good leadership skills, with experience or exposure in people management
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Exceptional analytical and numerical skills
- Proven project management capabilities, with strong priority & time management skills
- Creative problem-solving abilities
- Advanced understanding of customers, channels & trade marketing practices
- Have clear attention to details
- A growth mindset, proactive approach & bias for action in a dynamic and agile environment
